I haz Reo!

Alas I have a lot to learn. My first test drive caused a coughing fit that required a Ricola to break. I had some issues with draining too. Will need to spend some time with this new beauty and figure out how she moves. I think a big part of the problem is the airflow (which y'all warned about). That hole is tiny and I'm a lung hitter. I'm going to take a whack at opening up the airflow to 1/16.
I;m a lung hitter and even with a 1/16 hole add little bit of slip streaming too. Slip steaming is letting some air in around the drip tip
*sniff* she is missed.. glad it's working out for you!I haz Reo!

Very cool Scratch man! The BW with that dark red door really sets the Chalice off. In no criticism intended at all but merely a thought, I can't help but think that a black Delrin button cover would be the finishing touch.
When you go to punch out the intake, take great care. Take a peek at the top threads as they are very close to the intake hole. I got a small bur in mine so that the last few turns where kind of rough when setting the cap. Was able to remedy by lightly hitting the top cap threads with a worn down Scotch wheel on a Dremel and a bit of cutting oil. The only other alternative would of been to chase the threads with the proper tap. A good and sharp drill bit is a must. I am a lung hitter as well and at 1/16 the draw is still a wee bit tight but the flavors are simply amazing! Running twisted 28 built to 0.5 ohms with Cotton Bacon wick on mine. .
By using the pointy dremel diamond bit instead of a drill bit I was able to apply pressure up while reaming it out and kept the same bottom to the hole and did not hit threads. Great care was taken to make sure I didn't slip and drag the bit across the face of the Chalice.
I picked up this bit for the dremel:
7134 Diamond Wheel Point / Model: 7134
Bit diameter is 2 mm / 5/64, so a bit bigger than 1/16. It's not scientific, but since it tapers I figure I can just go half way with it and arrive somewhere in the right neighborhood.
Filthy-Beast, where did you get the 1/16 pointy dremel diamond bit? Lowes? Home Depot? I'd like to pick one up. I think the 2mm that scratch has ordered would be too big for drilling my RM2.
It is tapered, so you only allow it to go in as large as you want your hole to be. Since the largest diameter of the bit is 2mm, scratch is only going to use it about halfway in to get the smaller resulting diameter that he desires.
Do you have a pair of calipers? You can measure and mark the bit with marks a lot so you know where you should be at...

Oh meant to ask you guys - is it common to have issues with the button constantly falling back into locked mode? I'm guessing with time I'll build the muscle memory to avoid rolling it accidentally, but I wondered if maybe something was loose in there causing it to move rather easily.
It does that sometimes on mine.
I take it you haven't found a magic bullet to fix it then... I'm sure I'll learn to live with it. Or figure out another use case for the dremel.![]()
No, minor pita. It only happens when I don't want it to. I did just swap out my brass cover for a black one though, I'll let you know if that helps...
