Here's a pair of Nuppins, one with brass AFC to match the Woodvil and the other with copper AFC to match the Sumpin.

Still the most stunning Sumpin' I have ever seen FB. Would love to see that up close and in person!

Sure
Under armed guard, maybe
Just ordered an Orange LP/SL mini with the new 510. This will be my first splash of color, my most colorful current metal Reo is Copper Vein.
In giving the new 510'd SL a good ride over the past couple of days, I can say that it is a definite improvement in terms of threading and adjustability, I can't say that I'll be sending the rest of my units in unless of course on of current 510's give up. However, I do wonder if Rob is planning on having conversion kits available.
Yes they are press fitted, so you would need a press and a jig to remove the old one without damaging the Reo and then press in the new one. Easier to just pay the man who will have done it hundreds of times to switch over new stock before he even starts conversions. I agree, I'm in no rush to send in my old ones until I have cause other than the new 510.
I have a small press mounted to one of my work benches and in inspecting one of my units, I can see the need for cutting a heavy support tube to fit between the 510 hole and the bottom of the box on the inside of the unit but, you are probably right. Why take a chance when you can just send it off to the master himself to have it done right.
Plus, just a guess here, that old and even the new 510s have a lip so to remove would have to be pressed from the inside out.
EDIT: that what I mean by saying a jig
#427 checking in...I'm #429. We can celebrate owning them together![]()

Yep, after closer inspection under magnification ( old eyes) me thinks you are right.
Filthy-Beast, has that blue "Pdib" been in your sig all along or is it new?
I'm #423. I'll be old and grey when it's my turn.

I hope nobody ever tries to just punch one. It would surely ruin the Reo.
Long line, but worth the wait. Was lucky enough to have #21 from run #2 passed on to me and I'm on the list at #236 if we are keeping count.
In the mean time, here's a link to dibi's gallery for you all to enjoy while we are hanging out in the waiting room.
