I believe Clark's mods will be awesome. I've talked with him enough now to have a good idea of what's coming without knowing many specifics. And I'm almost certain I know who he's working with on them. He has told me that his mech version will meet my criteria (mechanical, collapsable spring/similar protection, squonkable) - I am more than all ears - I am waiting eagerly

Yeah, never used one but I think you're right. Those are my main criteria, I have no use for anything electronic/regulated or a mech with no sort of protection. Couple other things though...if his mod uses dual batteries, I won't use it, and that I'm not sure of. I think he's considering it though - that or a single 26650 battery, which I'd be all over like white on rice.

I know I'm picky about my mods but funny enough I'm not hard to please...there are other cool squonkers out there but I have zero interest because I have REOs. However - Clark designing his own mod...yeah, absolutely. It comes down to novelty, and seeing what my good friend has crafted very exciting. Slotherly excitement in tha house.

I'm not sure where in my post you saw disapproval, far from it - i have 15 mods on my desk just now and 13 of those are bottom fed, so i'm all for it.

My holy brother, I totally understand! I totally understand all the interest in this thread. If I wasn't determined to go to Germany in the fall, I would have been, idk, 18th in line. But I AM going to Germany on vacation this fall so I put myself on a budget and I'm sticking to it!!

No, more like Septemberfest...I have 5 days of vacation left so I'm combining it with Labor Day Monday. Hopefully, I can book a flight leaving after I get off work on Friday and come back the following Saturday. My home base will be a guy I graduated from high school with who lives there. I've never seen Berlin without the wall so looking forward to that as well as the beer and the brats.

All the Germans now speak better English than, well, the English. I was told by a taxi driver in Munich that learning it for 2 years is now compulsory in school. So - gotta be true!

Not that you would cause trouble Lynn, but the German riot police are not into 'softly softly' policing. I was once caught in a hotel they stormed to arrest English football hooligans and i spoke with the finest Scottish accent you ever heard.

I think there are two different lenses to use when contemplating the new NT BF mod.

There's a difference between a BF that will interest the NT crowd who are looking to just get into BF or for a backup, for them it's a great idea, a one stop shop. But for someone like me with the list of 13 BF mods in my signature(and others I've tried and sold) the bar to get me interested and purchasing is at a different level and that's why before jumping in I need see the spec and the execution of the device.

Believe if you're looking for real beta test. Then if anybody can torture test a mod it's Super T.

That's good to know T! My German(what little I knew) is nonexistent now! I won't have to worry about the police this trip. I'm older and wiser!
