just wondering if I am the only joye 510 type pv user on the forums? I have been vaping for over a year, still using the joye 510 and occasionally the ego. they work fine for me, I like them and I don't have tons of money to spend on my vaping hobby. and, oh my, I use attys and clear tank carts too - ack :p

but I am getting weary of some members badmouthing 510's and their users. so just came here to see if there are any 510 "friends" out there :) ok and maybe to whine a little about sometimes feeling like I am being sent back to the gutter with smokers because I don't want a bigger battery or a mod :(

No Cags you are not the only one.....Lmao. I do have other equipment that is my all day vape but my 510 still has a special place in its stand right here beside my desktop. I do use it. Not all day every day but now well over one year later it still sees some fair useage. I learned the ropes on this equipment and will always have one. It is the device that helped me realize there was something that could replace cigarettes for me, so for that simple fact alone I will gladly replace this shorty510 should it eventually fail with another of this exact size and model. And lets face it it is pretty stylish too. Enjoy the vape. I know I am.

I know of many people here on the forum that still use a regular 510 or an Ego battery. The only reason that I upgraded to a mod is because I was a heavy smoker and thats what it took to keep me off the cigs. If my original 808 starter kit would have kept me from the cigs, trust me I would still be using them.

I use the same mod that I purchased about a year and a half ago. I never felt the need to be a mod collector or to have the latest and greatest lol It is all about what keeps you from smoking IMO.

Anyone that loves and cares for two CAGs is top notch in my book :)

Im still relatively new to vaping, but i have friends with mods, and my buddy's dad runs an e-cig company that makes all sorts of VV units. Ive tried several, and for simplicity and overall performance, i love my 510-t. i use the stock batteries with it all the time, but i do prefer and eGo manual battery for extended life. Im a very heavy vaper.

Its like anything else, cars, tools, trucks.
why , when it's like putting lipstick on a pig, do you think a man sends 45000.00 to place a big shiny chrome bumper on a Peterbuilt?
Provari- Provari-Provari.
I have one, ya want it??
I have a lavatube that works just as good, and a " VV e-cigarette" knock off that works just as good as those.
when they lose taste, I screw off the accesory and put it on the ego knock off I use all day long.

Most of it is about bragging rights.

I like my Provari, I like my lava tube, I like my VV chinese knockoff.

I LOVE my ego.

its like the ugly dog that always comes when you call him.
so reliable

ahhhh, it makes me happy that I'm not alone :) I grew up with "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and still live by that most of the time <G> there are some people who think if you still use a small pv you must not be on the forum or you must care about what people think of you, etc, etc and it does get annoying .... thanks for the replies... and salem, I will admit, my cags do not think they are spoiled, but they are !

Go with what works for you, you want a big $200 mod, do it, you want a lavatube, buy it, you want to use the 510 and it meets your needs, keep using it. I know I didn't need a VV device, I was doing fine wasn't wanting to go smoke an analouge, but I wanted one. Now I didn't get a high dollar device because I didn't want to get a high dollar device. I am totally happy with all the devices I have. And every now and then I get all nostalgic and pull out my old Mystic truck stop cig, drip a little on the carto and enjoy it. And I still use my Boge Bud (ego system) all the time, because I like it. I too get a little tired of the fan boys, but I know that I won't be swayed to go get something just because the crowd likes it. Yeah a million flies like.... well you know what I mean. Anyway, if what you have works for you, than vape away brother!!

I don't get the anti 510 jibberish either. I bought a Joye 510 in October, 2010, been vaping ever since. Except migrating to an Ego, with usually dripping, sometimes cartos or my 5ml madvapes tank(haven't even seen the damn thing in weeks, lol), I have no desire for anything else anymore for my every day setup.

I have experimented with all kinds of different rigs and a few mods, I've come to realize how unreliable a lot of gear is. After having attys just die in the middle of 10 hour shifts, etc I don't trust any other brand but Joyetech. My Ego is great and provides plenty of vapor, so as was said already, don't fix what's not broken.

I will always buy Joye from now on, and if some dude who was still smoking a year after I started vaping and his Provari wants to look down his nose at my 510, I say let him. My rig works and I know I can take my ego and a small bottle of juice to work with no worries, that's fine by me.

Edit: Not saying Joye is the only good brand out there, obviously that's not true. Just saying their stuff works better than anything else I've tried and have no desire to meddle with it.

I've got a 510T as well :)
I wanted to like the tank system, I really did... but I found the flavor to be very muted. (same with the standard atty and a cartridge.)

However...pop on a Boge 2.0 carto and that is perfect. Simple, small, satisfying. Three batteries will get me through a 9hr work day (only vape on breaks/driving).

I've got a Bolt for at home and a couple of cheap Smok tanks, and that about rounds out my needs.

I used a 510 for a long time and I really loved it ,I did upgrade to an EGO because of the battery life but I still have my 510 for backup.I did start using the 510 mega batterys.I read a post today that said EGO's are relics of the past but I restrained myself and didn't answer.I don't want to be in the moved on group.

I LOVE using my 510s, really enjoy it! They look elegant, the colours that you can get now in the large batts are beautiful! I have been vaping now for 18months and the 510 is my goto when I go out, an ego for round the house... perfectly adequate, the juice tastes better, dont know why the 510 gets such a ragging. I did relent and buy a small vv mod some time ago to see what the fuss is about but it sits in the cupboard.
Honestly amazed that some people prefer to vape what looks to me like plumbing but there you go, each to his own,

You are not alone. Although that is apparent for quite a while on this thread. I just started vaping about a week ago. It is truly amazing and I really feel sorry for smokers I see, cause they just don't know. I am using a 510 T and will stick with it for a while most likely since there is a local store called "Vapors Lounge" that stocks all the parts and juice you could ask for. It has greatly exceeded my expectation for flavor and ease of use. Not sure why all the venom for the 510, but it does not have to be for everyone!

Yeah, you guys rock! I'm still using my Joye 510 too, and loving it. Admittedly I've abandoned the 510-T tanks...now I just use a 510 regular battery with a Boge 2.0 carto. I challenge somebody to take a nice healthy drag on that and tell me it doesnt pack a punch! :vapor: And I also challenge them to stick their Provaris in the "5th pocket" of their jeans and go out on the town!
