Dripping instead of using filled carts.

But instead of dripping and using a cart cap to vape from, I vape directly from the atomizer like some people do. This is the only way I've been able to keep the atty from getting too hot, and from flooding.

I've tried all methods before and it made vaping such a pain because my device would never hold up throughout the day when I needed a quick nic fix.

Is there more air flow for the atty to cool down is that why this works? And why is it that after trying so many different techniques for dripping, this is the only way that I don't cause flooding?

I tried all drop amounts, all kinds of time between vapes...only vaping directly from the atty has worked properly and efficiently?

Plus it shortens the ecig size to about the size of a reg ciggy which feels so much better in my fingers! :)

Anyone else do this or know why it works?

I like the name of this technique, "tail-piping". I notice with certain atties, or when something's not going the way I want, having one of those "rough vape days" where nothing is working, tailpiping is the only way I can get the job done cause it takes the guesswork out of it. It removes at least one variable for where the problem might lie. That said, I recently got some delrin drip tips and I love them. I do get more juice in my mouth or on my lips with the drip tips because I'm too excited to vape with the tip and I don't wait for the juice to travel down the tip inside to the atty. That's just user error though.

I've been tailpiping with 510s on a 6V mod for a couple of months now. It started as an experiment. I was getting desperate to figure out a way to keep my attys alive more than a few days. I had been dripping with a drip tip, and that 6 Volts was just murdering them. I got the idea that I was letting them get too hot and/or too dry when I was distracted by something like the Internet. Your lips feel temperature changes a lot more quickly than your fingers, and before you can taste the "Burnt Nasty" or feel it in your throat. When the atty starts to get uncomfortably warm, I let off the button and continue moving air through the atty to cool it down, then hit the button again. Direct-inhaling works great for this: I'll press and release the button as many as 8 times during one direct-inhale vape. Massive throat hit, redonkulous vapor. My attys have been lasting 2 and 3 weeks now. That's 2+ weeks at 6 Volts. The more I practice the longer they seem to last. If they start to taste foul, I blow some warm water through them. If they start to fade out, I do a light, careful dry burn. The atty I'm using now is on week 3.

I use a shorty wide-mouth delrin drip tip from supertmanufacturing.com. It let's you drop right onto the atty. I usually drop three drops onto the 510 LR atty and it lasts me about the same amount of drags as an analog. To keep it cool, I take about a 2-3 second drag, let off on the button and draw cool air across the atty for another 2 seconds or so.
