Morn to all. I should be getting my Opus today. Question for anyone that already got an Opus, did it come half charged or do we have to give it a full charge out of the box? Is there any way to tell how much juice is in it? Thanks in advance.
According to the tracking its at my local PO so the mailman had better have my pkg for me this morning or its gonna get ugly.

It will com partially charged and may vary from unit to unit. You should give it a full charge before extended use. The LED will turn green when fully charged.

Thanks Drew. I really just want it to work even if I have to pay for the repairs and shipping
to and from you. :)
I've forgotten from whom I bought it from.
Thanks :)

As I said before please send an email to DGliem00@gmail.com with this information. Thanks,
Drew

Just got mine. It is as mini as I imagined. Button is silent with a rubberized coating....I think the placement works better for me with the pointer finger than thumb but we'll see. It oozes class. The brass is clear coated or something, I don't see it developing a patina but we'll see. The markings on it were a bit confusing...I think they relate to the arrow on the wheel and not the direction to turn the wheel. So CC is down wattage and clockwise is up. So at max the arrow points at plus, which is on the left, and vice versa. Of course, I need to read the manual first but you know how that goes! :p Getting 12 watts almost exactly so well done. Range is 6-12 watts. Also has the DNA marking on the bottom so they must be using that board now.

God I feel stupid.....
Don't feel so bad! I used mine for 2 days and thought the same thing...I even recommended that the pot be re positioned! Then the + and - were pointed out to me... I wasn't as humble as you, I didn't immediately admit it was my perception of the way it should be held...lol...I also prefer to use my forefinger rather than my thumb most of the time though... Either way I really like the feel...Its as if this thing was designed for MY hand...lol

Well I can't believe I didn't realize that simply flipping it around would give the proper perspective... It's like, where did my critical thinking skills go! Well I'm not alone at least...ha! Anyway, it came almost all the way charged, just took about a half hour hooked up to the 'puter's USB to turn the light green. Weighs 100 grams, 3.5 oz.... can't think of much else to mention outside performance which I'm sure it is great.

Got mine around 1145 this morn. threw it on the charger and it was fully charged about 45 min ago. been vaping it non stop since then. this is classy and perfect size. Hits great. Since getting the Darwin 2 weeks ago and now the Opus and 3 Kicks in my tube mods I am officially hooked on VW. Also like siouxsie said in last post mine has the DNA mark on the bottom also, so they must be using the DNA board now. This Opus sure has nice substance to it. Nice solid just like the D.
So right now i have a i06 DCA atty on it and im vaping Drews RY4. One of the best RY4 liquids out there. In 45 minutes i have been using it non stop and i just cant get enough. Im forced myself to put it down and type this.
Question Drew or anyone that has one already. It looks like the 510 connection is really sealed good. I worry about liquid getting inside by the wires so is it a dumb move that i also put on a shorty 510 to 510 sealed connecter on this. also have that DNA which isnt suppossed to leak also. You think too much overkill or doesnt matter as long as it works fine. Thanks again Drew
This Opus rocks big time.

FWIW, as a general rule, I use sealed 510 to 510 adapters on my devices. It may well be a belt and suspenders approach but it certainly cannot hurt. Just remember that adapters can and DO short - the internal gaskets can and DO break down - adapters are not eternal. So, if you ever have a no-fire situation, given Opus does not have the Darwin screen to clarify for you - do NOT just continue to try to get the device to fire. At ANY non-fire scenario look at ALL possibilities: last batt charge, unthread and rethread (only to gentle fingertip-snug and one-time retry fire,) check the adapter (remove and separate all connections to inspect and also look for possible juice accumulation as that can cause Evolv electronics read a possible short), and try different attys/cartos/adapters. Also keep in mind, especially as Evolv tech is intentionally designed to be sensitive to detecting even possible shorts, that Evolv gear may read an atty/carto/adapter as shorting while that same gear may function on other devices. Better to swap out gear than risk blowing the current sense chip and having to send it in for service.

Excellent tips and most important for all. Thanks for the help Nebula

I broke my Opus on a Penelope. I used braided NON- resistance wire and it shorted out. I used the same rig on the Darwin, and it just gave me the no smokie sign, but the Opus died. So I contacted Nhaler, and someone got back to me lightning fast...with the customer service email address at evolv. So I didn't hear back from Evolv today, might have gotten lost in spam, so I sent it back to them today. I hope to have it back soon and I was really enjoying it until I broke it. If something can be broken I will make it happen. I should beta test stuff. That said I haven't broken my Darwin one time. Sent it in for a new battery once. Had it for a year and no issues, but I also wasn't learning rebuildables during that time an making mistakes. But I did use the Ato-Mizer on it with sucess for most of that year. Evolv has the best return service so I know it will be right in no time. Are you guys tired of hearing my Nhaler spot yet? I am thinking about making a new one, with customer testimonials.
