To the guys that already have the opus, hows the battery life?
Mine should be here shortly. How do you determine the wattage on the Opus? Also, is there a way to verify?
Thank you
I know for some knowing the exact voltage and resistance is important and I use to like check this when I first start vaping with every device/atty.
Now I for the most part just turn the dial on my Opus(Darwin you can see) to the point that I get good flavor and throat hit.
I found I spent to much time doing the prior when all I looking for is flavor, TH and vapor in that order.
The Opus is great handy device for me for on the go.
I got 9.25 hours on my first full charge at home. About 2.6mL dripping. This may be one of those battery types that needs a few full discharges/recharges to reach full capacity.
Too many variables to ever compare batt life per charge against anyone else's. Resistance impacts amps used and amps ARE batt life per charge-cycle - lower resistance uses more amps each activation = less "hours". Condition/age of batt is another factor; battery charging patterns also impact - running to cut-off regularly can reduce the number of overall charge cycles AND it "can" also reduce life per charge cycle. Most significant variable is aggregate button time - someone who vapes with an average aggregate button time of 4 minutes per hour will get much less "hours" than someone who averages 2 minutes of aggregate button time per hour (no realistic way to compare "average aggregate button time"). Then consider that each hour will vary in average button time and/or from person to person. All of these combined (which they DO combine and no way to avoid any of them other than equalizing resistance in the comparison - equalizing only one variable is not enough to make a realistic comparison) yield in incomparable scenario.A question, out of curiosity. Is 9 hours of run time a bad thing? I'm not being smart assey I'm genuinely curious if you feel that 9 hours is a so-so amount of time? If I could get 9 hours out of my cellphone after having it on all day and constantly using it, I'd be endlessly grateful.

Someone posted a comparison to Darwin. Darwin has 1800 mah vs Opus 1200 mah. However, Opus uses Evolv DNA which is a newer version of the Evolv microprocessor and may be more efficient - no way to accurately measure (especially as Darwin batts in circulation are mostly older now and have had many more charge cycles - as mentioned, charging patterns impact the battery over time).
Basically, wondering about "hours" and/or trying to compare "hours" is sort of pointless - just vape and enjoy. If for any reason you end up experiencing an inordinately short charge cycle - like under 5 hours - (and this pattern repeats), then contact customer service and they may be able to help you via email or they may ask to have you send the device in for inspection.
Absolutely agree. I have no problems at all with mine. It could run for 6 hours and I'd still be stoked to have it. Just wondering what siouxsie was saying. If 9.25hrs wasn't all that satisfactory, or just stating a point for anyone wondering. Like me.![]()
