Ok here is the upgraded look of one of my orchids,i like this alot so will probably order another for my other one.Only downfall with this cap,is you are really limitied on which drips you can use because the tip of the chimney comes through the top a bit.The tip that's on it fits, and that's the one that came with it,but that thing is a huge wide bore tip.Another option for more tip options would be to drill the bottom hole of the drip tips out a bit bigger,or if you plan to keep the fat plastic tank, you could trim the chimney tip down just a bit.Oh,and the grooves in the cap,are actually cut all the way through,so they function as a sort of heat sink.

Hey G-weezy,what is the inner diameter of your coils? They look huge.I've been thinking of trying larger coils, but not sure what size to shoot for.

b.m., he just left for vacation. He posted it elsewhere though: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-vaping-discussion/507143-focalecig-new-fasttech-1015.html#post14156969

If you were willing to screw the chimney in about 1mm shy of all the way, you could use KFL parts instead of the stock barrel tank:
Position the chimney into the KF top cap just so it connects with the o-ring. To the base, screw on a nano ring, a middle ring (SS or plastic), a full-size ring, then the top cap/chimney assembly. You'd have to play with wicks in the wells, but you'd be able to use any DT you want. I tried it your way too, but I really didn't like the way the barrel tank looked with KFL parts (I like it with the stock cap though ). It reminded me of a belt that was on too tight.

I'd snap a pic for you, but dumb phone and broken camera. Sorry. :(

Just received the Tobeco Orchid V2 in my vapemail. Wrapped up dual 3/32" 26 ga coils, 8 wraps each, metering out at .43. Wicked with Delasco rayon. Filled it, threw it on a mech...all I can say is WOW! I purchased this to get away from dripping and driving, and I must say this thing hits as good or better than some of my RDAs.

The concentration of vapor is what really gets me about this piece. I can vape 6mg in my Plume Veil at .18 ohms with no ill effects, but with the Orchid I get the dizzies after a few good pulls. Guess I'll drop nic again :)

Build quality is great, no issues with the screws, threading is super smooth. And no leaks as of yet, I'm so glad they added the bottom fill port. Recommended!

Aw, got all excited for nothing. All they did was chop off the chimney and use KFL nano parts.
$15.18 Orchid V3 Styled Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2.5-3.0ml / stainless steel + PMMA tank at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

At least they had good taste on which top they used haha,That picture kind of helps get an idea of roughly how these will look with the glass installed too, should look very similar.I haven't heard any news on progress yet about the glass,so i'm just sitting back waiting patiently, hopefully have some news on it by the weekend.

This guy went to a whole different level and drilled out the Orchid chimney to accommodate a KF chimney. Yep, we're pretty nuts here in Cali.[/

That's very cool,i like that idea. Is there a post about it here on the forum somewhere or another site where i can find out any info on how it's done?

Im not sure if anyone has any input, but...

I picked up an orchid clone, built my first coil on it, and went to dry fire it when i noticed something.. There is an insulator around the positive post and every time i fire it, it melts. Of course im not going to be inhaling that. Anyone seen this before? solution?

I just noticed the same with mine. I think it is only melting when dry burning the coils. I am running around .4 ohms After wicking and juicing it doesn't look like it is melting. Which insulators did you use from kidney puncher? The Kayfun deck or positive post ones?

That's Sexy!! Job well done to whomever you found to cut that down, b.m.! I'm definitely going to have to try that once my V2 finally gets in.... darn pre-orders, my whole shipment is on hold until my Tobeco Knight mod gets in... :(

Nice! That's gonna look even hotter with your special top cap, b.m., And 3+ml sounds a lot better than the 1.5 you were getting before!
