Ok, been following this thread for a while and have decided I'm ready to play. Seems like this is a major contender for my fogger v4. Now, I know its always "better" to get a decent clone. Are these fasttech ones really worth getting? Or should I save the time, kick a few extra bucks and get one from a reputable vendor in the US? Price is always an obstacle when justifying it to my wife ;)

Just spend a few bucks and order from a reputable site! I ordered my Orchid V4 by Tobeco from 101vape (currently out of stock :() and it came in 3 days! The reason why I recommend them is because if the atty has a problem just give em an email and they would be happy to replace it. My TOBH v1 I bought from them a whileeee back had the center post problem where it slightly spins. I emailed them about it and they were happy to switch it out no problem.

FT is okay if you are willing to wait. I placed a big order (10 items) and one of the items was a hybrid connector for my nemesis. I didn't receive all the parts that go with it.. I was too lazy to go through the emailing and shipping back to get that fixed.. Got everything in 3 weeks I believe..

I haven't heard anything bad after Tobeco's V1 debacle, so I think we're pretty safe with any of them after that. If it were me buying one now, I'd get the V4. It has all of the revisions they'd made in previous versions (bigger juice channels, better screws, bottom fill hole). Plus, you won't have to monkey around with how you're gonna be able to fit full-size KFL tanks, which you'll inevitably end up doing, because this baby is a little juice hog!
FC carries it in their USA warehouse, so you should get it pretty quickly (they might still be restocking though - hot item): $13.64 (Ship from USA)Orchid V4.0 Atomizer - Silver

They are, indeed, in stock. I ordered 2 last night and they shipped out this morning. Looking forward to trying these out.

At this price point, how could you not?

Here is a better price, if you are willing to wait. https://www.fasttech.com/p/1922001 But remember that the wait gets worse from here on out, until the middle of January.

They really aren't such juice-hogs if you run them as single-coil. And easier, too, since you don't have to worry about your coils being equal.

I found out yesterday one of my favorite B&M just got the tobeco v4 in stock. I make t-shirts for them (my side business) and asked them jokingly what my "wholesale price" would be. They told me what their wholesale price was and told me I can have it for cost. So, I'll be picking it up from them this week.

Yup it's great when u can pick up a v2 and v4 for less than 30 dollars combined and have it vape better than any tank you have clone or authentic

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Exactly....The V4 is my favorite tank RBA without a doubt..... I have quite a few good authentic and clone rbas but non compare.

Here's one I hadn't seen before:
Orchid-X-Atomizer-1-500x500.jpg

Orchid X at Desire

Clear M-tank (nano maybe?) and two-piece chimney, like on the KF.

I haven't been following the latest with the Orchid recently. A V4 NOW!? I like how people are listing them on ebay as a 1:1 clone. A 1:1 clone of what? Aethertech never even released the v2, did they? LOL
Yeah, these clones are like weeds - out of control!  After the V1, there was the V2, V3, V3.5, V4 (two versions of that to boot), and now VX!
It's gonna be really confusing when the actual V2 shows up.

Just received mine from Focalecig. Ordered Monday, received on Thursday from their US warehouse.

This Orchid V4 comes in a Fogger box (black box with wispy smoke stating Atomizer series), was really clean and has a nice heft about it. Grub/Hex screws are installed and the proper sized (teeny-tiny) Allen key was provided; their website shows Phillips head screws with a blue screwdriver. I had to install the provided O-rings onto the fill port screws myself.

Just finished bathing it, and looking forward to building on it later tonight. Installing those O-rings killed my hands -- it's tough getting old ;)

Overall, I am pleased with the smooth threads and overall build quality for a $15 clone. 10 times better than those Rocket KF knock-offs.

Was the "bathing" needed or it's just routine for you?

As 0mg already posted, it's always best unless you like the taste of machine oil. Plus: you never know what nasties lurk inside the air channels or drip tips. In previous new atties, I've discovered oil, grease and metal shards and bits. So, yeah, I always wash and rinse and poke with paper towels :)

These were pretty clean, but there was some machining residue about. Not much, but some.

Bummer that they didn't come with the pictured phillips screws. :(
I bought one of these, because I hate the supplied allen key: Hex Wrench Driver 0 9mm White Steel Allen Screwdriver for R C Helicopter NI5L | eBay
My Orchfun is one of my dailies (I have a souped up V1) - this $2 tool makes it so much easier.

Does anybody know what size the deck screws are? I'd love to change them out.

Tell us how you cobble together an Orchfun from a V1-- what Kayfun parts do you use? I am interested in doing that so it will function more like the V4's I am waiting for.
