Am I using the wrong battery? I thought it was the RCR123A we were supposed to use.

That is what I'm using moonflame. Works fine. From the web site:
"The AdapteveR supports CR123 batteries with lengths from 1.300" ~ 1.420" or 33mm ~ 36mm.... "

I'm using 16340's at the moment. 16mm wide x 34mm long.

Thad, could you refresh our memories on other specific battery sizes that will fit?

very cool.. please let me know how you like it.. this is very new and I use mine everyday... but I have to be honest... I still like the 901 slightly better... personal preference I know, but just curious as the 510 and 901 are evenly matched in a lot of ways...

2 full days with the 510 and all is perfection Thad. I've mentioned before that I prefer to carry one each, 901 and 510. Now that I've got the 510 adapter for the AR, (AdapteveR, can I call it the AR?:D), I'm back to carrying 1 of each again. I thought the 510 might draw a battery down quicker than the 901, but at the end of day 2 both batteries were around 3.82v.

All happy here

Thanks Olderthandirt. I'm stuck on my Prodigy now. It's way to big for the dart cases. I carry it in a small case I purchased from Ross's (a store near me). I've also made some carrying cases for it and I purchased one of those old fashioned toothbrush holders it'll fit in, but I like the case from Ross's best.

I really like to be able to carry everything I'll need for out and about in one case, preferably small enough to fit in my shirt pocket or stout enough to go in my hip pocket. Also like to keep the PV's assembled.

With the mini's and their original batts that wasn't hard to do. These larger battery mods are proving difficult to carry in the same manner. I'd seen some wallet style cigar cases and thought to try my hand at making one based on that design. If the dart case I ordered doesn't work out I may need to make my own anyway.

Enjoy the day...

of course... I don't think I've done the best job on that... I am in the process of carrying batteries to end all the confusion... I will update later with some better info...

rcr123 batts with the dims above are the ones to use... the 16340's you mentioned work well...

The main thing is to use 3.7v rated batts (actual voltage is 4.2v when fully charged) and not 3.0v batts(actual voltage is 3.6v when fully charged)... I do have a link on the product page of www.AdapteveR.com to some that work both protected and non protected....

Just thought would let everyone know that unfortunately I had to sell my adaptever at short notice for personal reasons! (a couple of members aware of reason, nothing to worry about :))

So unfortunately will be unable to do 2 week video update as planned :(

Hopefully will be getting another adaptever soon but would of thought there be plenty of vids by then?

Anyhows thought only fair to let everyone know!

What can say is that before sold it my opinion still same a good solid device highly recommended!

Laters................

longer sleeve is coming very soon... over the next couple weeks... design has been done for some time... it will use 2 3v rcr123's 16340's... as cr2's are not available as both rechargable(li-ion) and with PCB protection... the decision was made to go with a longer version using 16340 batts... would have been nice to make is smaller, but safety is more important to me... putting untested vents in the housing or anything like that just doesn't makes sense to me...

so to re-iterate... I promise next couple weeks along with at least the 801 insert adapters and maybe a few others... production is ramping up and soon there will be plenty of units for anyone who wants one I hope...

I wish you were making a sleeve for CR2's. I have two different mods that use these type of batteries and was hoping for a third. I guess I'll just have two types of batteries now. I am looking forward to the 6v option with the 801 atomizer. Cheers.

I did too... but Li-ion batteries (rechargeable) not to be confused with Lithium batteries (non rechargeable) do require the PCB for protection... The risk is small, but risk nonetheless.

You can use the CR2's Just make a spacer & sleve or use Magnets to space them.

Hi Thad,
I am really loving my Adaptever, but just recently, the adaptor where I attach my atomizer sometimes turns as i screw in the atomizer. Is there anyway to tighten it so it won't turn? I'm afraid I'm going to screw something up inside with the adaptor turning like that.

Thanks.

easy fix... just tighten the setscrew with a 1/16" allen (hex) head wrench... if you don't have one your local hardware store should have them for under $1.00
