Hi Thad, just a few questions,hope you can help me out.
1) what's the difference between a cr2 and a cr123 ? (size?)
2) which sleeve would you recomend and why?
Btw, thanks for a great unit that works problem free an has been a plaesure to use for these past months. I'm dying for the switch to break so I change it out myself , but I fear I'll be waiting a long time:). Thanks again....Chuck

3.7v CR123 x 1 sleeve= 1.730"
6.0v CR2 x 2 sleeve= 2.508"
6.0v CR123 x 2 sleeve= 3.109"

I can't really say I recommend one over the other they all work great! 6v has a LOT more power and takes getting used to... dries up the cart very fast... shorter bursts is best...

6.0v = die hard vaper
3.7v = medium vaper

really it is all a matter of personal preference...

glad to hear your AdapteveR is still going strong! btw: your unit was number 11 and I so much appreciate your feedback and support!!!!!

AdapteveR HVS sleeves are now available for purchase... PLEASE NOTE: THEY WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL 8-28-09...

Thad, I have a lot of the small green UltraFire batteries. They say "TR15270 800mAh 3.0v. Which sleeve should I get? And, I only need one sleeve, right?

Thanks!

Well, I ordered for the CR2 because I didn't want to lose out waiting for an answer ;), I know how quickly these things go and I've waited a long time for these sleeves. I just can't afford more batteries right now, so again, I sure hope I got the right one. When I google CR2 or CR123 so many different looking batteries pop up. I now have a stock of 4 different types of batteries for these e-cigs and only 1 of the 4 say anything like CR2 or CR123 and it's CR123A.

I got my GG in the other day and not one of the batteries fit it without spacers so this kind of scares me and I don't have any spacers and don't even know where to get them. I'm scared to ask because of all the problems that this GG caused.

Hi Thad , I guess old #11 is going to get a little stronger. My question now is reguarding my charger. I've got the grey trustfire multifunctional charger that I use to charge my spiderfire batts. ,will I be able to charge the cr2's in it or will I need to get another charger, as I know the cr2's are shorter than the spiderfires? Thanks in advnce...Chuck

p/n = hsvcr123x2 ;) and yes you only need the one sleeve... There is two choices of 6v sleeves so people can choose what they want to use...

CR123 X 2
OR
CR2 X 2

gotta love choices...

HELP Thad, what happened? I just got a notice in my email that my order has been canceled. No explanation and one of those emails that says not to reply to this email. I checked paypal and nothing has been refunded, so it looks like you've got the money (checked and paypal shows it completed and my bank account has the money taken out). So what's going on?

Please let me know. Please.

Glad to hear # 11 is well and good! :)

unless your charger is designed to charge cr2's I think you will need another like this one:

DealExtreme: $5.48 CR2 Battery Charger

These are not the "end all, be all" of batteries and chargers, but are in the right direction...

please use protected batteries... understand there are risks when using unprotected Lithium Ion batteries... not only are they more dangerous, but they may be too short to work in the current AdapteveR... The current AdapteveR was designed around protected batteries... and saving a few pennies is not worth the added risk... To my knowledge rechargeable CR2 batteries are not available with a PCB protection circuit... I only produce the HVSCR2X2 sleeve to accommodate those that are familiar with the risks involved in using unprotected Lithium Ion cells... Those unfamiliar with the risks and safe handling of unprotected Lithium Ion cells should only choose the HVSCR123X2 sleeve...

Lithium ion batteries and how they work... for those interested...

Thank you!

Thad: Wow, thank you!

These are the batteries I have:

DealExtreme: $3.82 Rechargeable 3V CR2 800mAh Green 2 Packs

I'm assuming they aren't protected, but that's all I have and I've got a lot of them. I hope this doesn't blow up in my face...8-o. I should be safe...shouldn't I?

I sure appreciate the work you went to answering my question!!

You are very welcome... I am glad to help... I highly doubt they will explode in your face... just be careful, and be educated about Lithium Ion batteries...
