There were three cooks (one foolish, one wise, and one even wiser) who decided to each make 3-egg omelets. The foolish cook and the wise cook began breaking eggs directly into the mixing bowl. Each of them broke two eggs into the bowl and all was well. However, the 3rd egg to go into the bowl in each case was rotten. The foolish cook decided that since 2 out of 3 eggs were good that the omelet would be good as well. The wise cook knew that because of just a part of the mixture was bad, that the entire omelet would be tainted. The even wiser cook knew that there would be a possibility of rotten eggs and instead broke the eggs in a separate container to verify before putting them into the mixing bowl. That way, she would know what the omelet would contain beforehand and know that it would be good.
The omelets are teachings. Are you a foolish cook, a wise cook, or an even wiser one?
