Oh gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that! So they are all gone now? I'm so very glad I got three of them while I could, and 18650's at that. I know how you felt, I struggled with the Freddy I bought last, telling myself not to do it as I pulled the trigger. I can't buy any more vaping gear for months now, having blown my vape budget for a far stretch into the future.

I saw an article once that showed them taking out the button shaft, removing the magnet on the end, shaving off about 1 mm, reattach the magnet w glue and problem solved

ARE ONE OF THOSE MAGNETS SUPPOSED TO BE ATTACHED TO SOMETHING?
Mine are both loose, & fell out when I removed the button shaft.

There's a few vids about on the poldi switch and from memory, yes - one of the magnets should be glued to the button shaft.

I got an 18650 Aname sleek for 82 euros.

139 dollars for a classic without extra tubes is a trifle expensive.

Well I suppose so, but it's free shipping and without the import duties, so it might even out. I guess I took your meaning wrong, sorry. I'm glad you got that Aname Sleek, I really love mine

BTW, I didn't get the extra tubes with my Aname Sleek or my Freddy Classic, only with the Uma Classic and I ordered from MMV.

And my understanding is that sleek only ever came as single tube, but that classic came with all tubes until recently as stock got low.

I'm still surprised that MMV has sold up with no notice on the site. Their only stock now is a few nanos and 95 wooden VW mods. I wonder if Poldiac will reappear in a few months when they are settled again...

I certainly hope they come back but what Miriam told me when I asked if the Sleek was ending was:

It will be both the Poldiac Classic and the Poldiac Sleek.

Because of the crisis in Greece we are forced to move to a smaller building. Because of this we have 40% discount on all our products in order to reduce the stock size so it will fit into the new building.

The Poldiac will go out of stock and will not be restocked. The spare parts however should still be available for a long long time.

Sure. I remember your quoting Miriam's mail from the "itch" thread.

Parts stock is very limited atm. I bought the last magnets, contact rods, orings. I would've bought brass pants but they are OOS for 18650.

What Miriam said may have been her truth for that time, but whether it will be true in 6 months time is anyone's guess. One thing is for sure - they won't make much of a business on Dryads, especially since the site only shows them to me sometimes...

Got my new CW Classic 18500 yesterday. However, the pants spin on the tube, which is making things rather annoying when I pick it up. I also have the Mirium WTH and it has all the tubes, so I tried its tube and pants, and they are even worse. I suspect the tube for the pants isn't screwing all the way into the top fully.

Any ideas for me? Can I shim my pants tube with some tape or will it mess with conductivity? I figure if the tape is between the tube and pants that should be ok?

If you haven't yet, I'd contact Miriam. Maybe they will send you another top assy. I wouldn't mess with trying to mickey mouse it. How does the length of the pants compare with the others you have?

Both tubes and pants appear to be exactly the same length, which is why I figure its the top assembly threading.

A friend and I ordered together to save on shipping so I would have to have him contact. I wasn't anticipating any problems based on the quality of my first Poldi.

Ok, having your friend contact them might be the best way to go. I'm sure they will work it out. Sorry you have a problem with it. I know how it feels when a problem does arise, but you are dealing with a good company. Let us know how it turns out.

What I should do first is see how they both do on my first Poldi, which I've only used in 18650 form. If they don't spin on that, then we know its the top of my new one. And if they do spin we know its the 18500 tubes or pants.

It arrived today. Isn't it beautiful?

My other 2 poldis are full satin classic - I'm not bothered about beauty and I don't like maintenance.

But the Aname is absolutely lovely; I might even try to keep it looking that way.
