Looks genuine to me. That plastic switch housing is the peek housing. It can take higher voltages than the black delrin for sub ohming. Don't know what to tell you about it's not firing. If put together properly it should fire.
That looks real, but even if it was a clone, it should vape if everything is clean & lined up properly.
It is, after all, a mechanical mod.

That's interesting. The 3 Poldiacs I got directly from MMV all had black plastic housings inside the button section, not this white color. New out of box it presented firing problems from the very start, and no amount of re-assembly or cleaning has remedied this issue. This is my 4th Poldiac, and I know well how to put them back together. This one just isn't working right. I know there is a bit of a break-in time for Poldiac buttons, but I'm well past that on this one.

I forget when the Poldis started coming with the peek housing, but it's an upgrade from the black delrin.
Keep after the firing problem, you should eventually hit on the problem. Frustrating I know, I've been there with other mods.

I vape at .7 ohm, and have had no problems with the black delrin button parts. Since I'd gotten them direct from MMV I had assumed they were the peek parts, but I guess not. I'm still wondering about that serial number too. It does appear to be an authentic Poldiac when I compare it to those I got from MMV, and there are no other obvious differences apart from the plastic button part. Yes, it is indeed frustrating, and advice is welcome.

I didn't see you mention it in your op, so I'll ask, did you clean everything, magnets, all contacts, threads? Hard telling how long that Poldiac has been sitting around at the vendors, and some oxidation, tarnishing could have taken place.

Yes I did clean every part, with alcohol. If there's a better cleaning solution I'm open to suggestions. I replaced the contact pin in the button with a new one from MMV, that didn't help, and swapped the button itself as well, with no improvement. I'm not sure what to try next.

Since you have several Poldiacs & the parts are interchangeable, you may want to consider rotating components.

You could start with the entire switch to determine if it contains a weak component. Then narrow it down to spring, rice pin, etc.

Already thought of that. I was having trouble with my Aname Sleek, and swapped out all the internals in the button. It didn't help. Now I have this new Miriam WTH, giving me the same kind of trouble. I'm not having a good week here.

MM vapors has always recommended soaking the double screw, pole screw, and the contact rod , in a fairly strong solution of baking soda and water, then rolling them around in your fingers to give them a rubbing action, rinse, and dry.

Ah! I shall have to try that! This is news to me :)

the one problem I used to have with the Poldi was making sure you had good contact with the positive pin on the atty, sounds like that could be an issue for you. I would leave the top reverse threaded screw up just a bit to make sure it had good contact. Other than that, not sure what else it could be.

I have a small O ring under that top pole screw to keep it where I want it, and it's definitely making contact because the atty doesn't screw all the way down. I've noticed, though, that I have to push that button down pretty hard to get it to fire at all, and on the top edge of the button as well. Pretty disappointed in this device...

Have you tried using a little noalox on the threads of the pole screw? It may not be getting good conductivity there if not enough of the threading is in contact

I've not had to use Noalox on any of my other Poldiacs, but I have tried it on this one, to no avail. I really don't know what to do with this thing, but perhaps send it back asking for a refund. I've written VaporAuthority about it.
