thanks for the help guys! I really appreciate it.

Makes sense why the guy in the video says to kinda put in the button quick so that the magnet inside the housing doesnt move.

I'll give it a go in a bit. Kinda busy at the moment. I'll check back with my results :toast:

Another trick is putting an extra magnet underneath to hold the one in the housing, while you put the button in ^^

okay so i just took apart my button and there were two magnets inside. One was on the very back and the other was kinda stuck or glued on to the button itself. I was watching a video and one of the magnets on theirs was stuck on to the button plastic part (if that makes any sense) but mine isnt so I would have to be holding it together while putting in the button. The problem I'm having is that every time i try to put it back together, both magnets would join together. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way its supposed to be is that they retract each other basically acting as a spring?
I had the same problem... like cloud wizard said, just super glue it back on the plastic switch piece. I put the other magnet inside the housing, make sure that small pin is in the plastic piece and insert it fast so that the other magnet doesn't flip and bam, all good.

IMO - the finest dripper I have ever owned/tried is the Prometey - if I could only have ONE RBA for rest of my life out of everything I own - it would be that - IMO

So, I got my Poldiac in today and was faced with a weird problem. Almost nothing fits it.

It feels like the connector in the Poldiac's top cap is just the wrong size.

iGo-L works fine:

iGo-S, as an example, doesn't:

I'm not forcing it that hard (because I just got it), but it kind of just stops there, even backing it up, the threads catch like they're supposed to and then everything just stops. Taking the iGo-S off, even with the threads just barely catching, the top cap releases before the atty does.

It's at least that bad with everything else I tried (3 smoktech mini RDAs, 2 smoktech RDAs, a couple Boge Cartos, an hh.357, and a 510-901 adapter from avidvaper).

I haven't tried it with my Reomizer because that would be pointless. I might have some clearos that I haven't gotten around to throwing away yet, but screw that.

The thing is gorgeous and works great with the iGo-L, but I was hoping to use one of the smaller RBAs on it. With so few things fitting on it, I'm really hesitant to get a better atty for it. I mean…I could use it on something else if it doesn't fit, but this is weird.

Any clues?

Take the topcap off and try to screw a carto in from the other side, it is most likely a hidden burr somewhere that you will get out by doing this.

I just did that. The carto screwed in all the way from the back. So did the RBAs I picked up, at least as far as it'll go before the top cap gets in the way (with taking off the delrin piece).

Nothing new threads into it. The threading on the 510 connection also feels completely different from the rest of the threads on the device. The rest of them are buttery and smooth and awesome……the threading on the 510 connection is kinda crunchy, regardless of which side I'm coming from.

I went as far as cleaning it with some noalox that I put on a carto's 510 conncetion and threaded in from the back. I tried a few things, wiped it off and tried again…no luck.

It does work fine with the iGo-L. The device is awesome, I'm just wondering if I might have gotten a bad top cap.

A friend (from ECF) has an MM DID that I'm going to try next weekend. Maybe it's not the Poldiac's fault, but I have yet to have any issues with any of my 510 connections apart from the occasional post that's too long/short. That's not the issue here.

Sounds like the tool chipped during machining. I'd contact them and get a new one coming right away. If you can get your hands on a tap you could probably chase the threads and it'd be alright. 510 is 7mm x 0.5mm if that helps.

Actually, it does. I have access to some awesome machine shops, but not a lot of experience. I'll look into that, but it works with one atty. I'll try it with some higher end stuff to make sure it's the top cap that's wrong and it's not just a coincidence my cheap RBAs work on all my other devices and then contact mmv depending on what happens. It's really the boge cartos that have me thinking it's the top cap, and I don't even want to look at them anymore.

I have found all the new mmv atty are machined real tight. Put it on a cheap mod and turn it in and out with some e juice. Pushing and pulling while you turn.

I have 4. Well 3 I lost one :(

It's the Poldiac top cap that appears to be the problem. All of my other devices (in sig) work with everything 510 I have. The Poldiac only works with the iGo-L and iGo-W. I really wanted to use the S on it, but the L looks decent and seems to work very well...just need to drill out the air hole a tiny bit.
