As I am expecting my Poldiac in the mail today, I am wondering if I should use Noalox, or something similar on the threads? What do you recommend?
Personally, I don't use electrical grease on any of my mods, I just clean them really well & frequently. I use Barkeepers Friend for all stainless, brass & copper. If you use the powdered kind, don't use too much water - almost use it as a paste - & it works fantastic on those fine threads. It cleans, removes oxidation & polishes.
If you're going to use an electrical grease, Noalox is made for aluminum-only applications. Stuff like No-ox-id A-special is made for stainless & I believe brass as well.
I probably should take the Poldiac completely apart and thoroughly clean it. I didn't get the Plastic Stop (tool) with it, as the previous owner hadn't either, so obviously it hasn't had a cleaning for quite some time. I don't suppose there is a work around for re assembling with out the "tool".
I managed to get the Poldiac to where it won't fire, so I am going to have to study the vids to get the contact pins lined up again.
Congrats on getting a Poldiac, it's really a nice pv.
You will have to order from MMV. Just a heads up, check your shipping options, before finalizing your order, It can be rather expensive.
I'm still unclear on the VAT charges.

Who is GUS?
I wanted a Poldiac, since I didn't think I would like a bottom button, but the VAT issue put me off. While I was waiting to see if it was resolved I had the opportunity to get a Gus Kiss Qorax Edition. I am very pleased with it!
So are they. This lawyer has reportedly been on vacation for a month now. It's too bad, cause there are a few things that I'd like to get, but I'm not paying 23% tax that neither I nor MMV is responsible for. I've been doing a lot of digging & there's not one single other Greek vape company charging US consumers for it. A few of them are doing some pretty high volume business, so I know they're not sneaking under the law, they'd never be able to get away with it with that many American sales direct to the end user. I've had a half dozen friends get fed up with it & ordered from GUS instead.
