Leftover pulled pork on leftover buns. Mr. V has to work today so I'm not cooking.

Everything is frozen solid here, so outside stuff that I didn't finish is going to have to wait until spring. I have a chicken waterer frozen to the ground outside the coop/run.

laundry and quilting today. I have a quilt waiting for its borders and backing and I might as well get to it.

Can you pour boiling water in a spot to melt a hole?

I remembered We have a couple heat guns. just need to find them. Its about 2-3 in thick. Going to look for the weakest spot (places I broke the ice earlier. Get home at 3:30 so will have a few hours of daylight.

We have a bucket deicer. I use it to melt a hole in the pond when it ices over where the air stones are. It was reasonably priced at Farm and Fleet, I don't know what they cost at TSC but they are easy to use. Plug it in, lay it on the ice and wait.

I'll have to check in to that. My bucket deicer needs to be submerged or it will burn up. Per directions. But a floating one would work. Off to TSC web site.

None in stock but free shipping. I ordered one for next year. Plans are to sink the tub 15-20 inches. then they can stay out year round. Of course there's exceptions.
