Morning!

Took out fish for poor man's lobster, no idea on sides yet.

Yesterday my exciting new purchase arrived, I bough a grinder. It goes on the kitchenaid, I've been wanting one for ages. Today I'll run over to the market to get something to grind up. I know, I'm odd.

I have an old school grinder. Looks like this one Weston 36-2201-W #22 Tin-Coated Manual Meat Grinder

It's great for making cranberry relish!! One bag of cranberries, one whole navel orange (skin included) and 1/2 to 3/4 cup of white sugar. Grind the fruit, stir in the sugar. Lasts perfectly from Thanksgiving through Christmas! :)

ooohhhh! I have cranberries, just need an orange. I eat cranberries year round so this is perfect.

Back from shopping, of course I bought more than intended because they were having a meat sale. We're leaving it in the truck overnight and will portion it out for the freezer in the morning. It's plenty cold enough to leave it out, 27 right now.

Seriously, all his legs go slightly different directions and all at different heights. It's a freaking riot. There's nothing physically wrong with him according to the vet, he just has zero coordination. He has no clue, he loves running.

On the things that are loved note, I LOVE the new meat grinder. We put a well trimmed pork loin through at medium and then fine. It's now sitting in marinade tupperwares for jerky. One original, one maple bacon and two teriyaki. We'll be set for quite awhile unless Sonny shows up.

Jerky is awesome!!
Yep! We have a jerky gun for ground meats and pork takes the flavors much better. Maple bacon is amazing. Mr. V takes it to work so he's not eating junk food all night. I just like it for a snack. Sonny steals it every chance he gets. He has a dehydrator but is too lazy to make his own. It is a pita, but pretty cheap. $1.69# for meat this time.
