Mr. V got locked out last night, the batteries in the back door lock died. Rather than wake me up (it was super late) he walked around to the front. I woke up hearing someone closing the front door. 
Poor Mr. V was met in the living room with a snarling Victor and a crazed woman with bed head, dorky pj's, and a gun. He replaced the batteries in the back door before he went to work.

I've found the best way to make rice in the IP is pot in pot. Normal proportions (2 to one, water and rice)Chicken teriyaki with rice. First time making rice in the foodi, it worked just fine.
Dinner tonight is the second half of a hoagie I bought yesterday. No cook Thursday
meh, it runs in streaks. Now it will be excessively boring for a month or so.
Bamrz, I used the steam option. Equal parts long grain rice and water, steam for 12 minutes. That's the first thing I found so that's what I did. I'll have to look up the pressure way.
I hate to hear about the store. And that Mr V is driving again. BUT.... It's awesome it's no OTR.

Y'all wouldn't believe the diet thing I'm trying to follow now. I haven't had rice in almost a year. I'm trying my best to stay away from processed foods and most sugar. I still steal a Nutty Buddy or some ice cream every once in a while (ie daily). But mostly it's chicken and veggies. It's so weird seeing a meal with several colors in it!

Oh! So, all the "snow" we got that shut down schools all over the area.... Yeahhhhhh.... I wouldn't even have called it a dusting.
And tomorrow, I'm going to brave the cold but clear weather with a friend and her kids.... Her kids invited me and MY kids to go to a quartz mine where we can dig our own gemstones and crystals. When I told them I couldn't get my kids, they invited me to join them anyway. I think it'll be fun.

The only good thing about the city closing down after some flurries is the fact traffic was non-existent on the way to work!
