Sorry for the double post but wanted to share with everyone that febreeze does not actually work as wonderful as we always thought while we were smokers. I febreezed the couch, chairs, curtains to get the smoke smell out. Well the couch still smells like smoke and so do the chairs. I figured I ll have to have a big fall cleaning to rid my house finally and permantly of the stench that I brought into it by smoking.

Don't apologize for very welcome info. BTW Glades fabric & air remover does work at least a bit better than febreeze, and w/o the cloying stench or less of one anyways. Why oh why can I only mostly smell wretched smells?? (rhetorical BTW)

Umm sitting through a whole movie w/o pausing. or if in the theater getting so distracted by nic-fitting that you can no longer enjoy the movie you just want it to end already.

I will have to give those a try and see how they work.....I was wondering the same thing as far as wretched smells then I lit up a few of my candles and was like wow they really do smell good. However it does seem like the bad smells come out first.

Oh heehe sorry crankyfuzz, lol, I was actually referring to the fact that for the most part I no longer have a sense of smell, and it's not smoking related.

Well sorry to hear that kelly.....mine is smoking related and I did not realize how much of my sense of taste and smell I had lost, until it started coming back ...... strange experience btw

I started losing mine in middle school, 6 years before my first cig, it sucks. The worst part is not smelling my own cooking, esp thanksgiving dinner.

I put a new Mattress on lay-a-way yesterday to hopefully pick up in a month. It's nice to know it won't end up smelling like smoke. BTW, if anyone is looking for a new mattress, check out Mattress Warehouse this weekend. We got a $1200 queen sized mattress and box spring set that is a dream to lay on for $600. I never thought we'd be able to afford one that nice, but the 50% off is incredible. I've been sleeping on the couch for 4 years because the bed we had was so uncomfortable with the Fibro that I couldn't move the next day if I slept on it and had to drag out the cane. It'll be nice to be able to cuddle up with Hubby again at night. And I don't have to worry about burn holes in it from dropping a cig :).

This pro has probably already been mentioned, but since I slipped last night and am paying for it this morning...

NO sore scratchy throat in the morning after overdoing it the night before

I don't know what got into me. It was about 8PM last night and I got the urge to clean out my bathroom closets. For some reason, I thought I also had to smoke real cigs for this effort. I've been so good having only 2 to 3 real cigs a day, except for one night last week when I had about 6...the next morning I woke with a sore throat and thought I'd learned my lesson:( But, nooooooooo, I hadn't and really overdid it last night. My throat hurts so bad this morning!!!!!! I'm really, really, really appreciating my PVs this morning.

I had to get the cigs from neighbor for my slip last night and she was so confused when I called her explaining why I needed real cigs. That's because I used a saying to convey an intense motivation that comes out of the blue that she'd never heard before: "got a hair up my b*tt to do some cleaning out." Actually, that is the short version of "got a wild hair up my a**."

Who else has used this saying? Or, some variation of it? BTW, she loved the saying and said she'd have to remember it, lol.

Lol, we say that here too. Sorry to hear your throat is hurting, I don't miss waking up with sore throats and massive sniffles either. Maybe next time you "get a wild hair" up there you can come reread your post and talk yourself out of hitting up the neighbor, hehehe.

Lots of "pros" listed here.
My biggest pro: No more fear of burning the house down.
(I had a house fire 4 years ago started by an analog that wasn't completely out when I emptied an ashtray. Gutted my 2nd story. My 2 dogs were on the first floor and were OK.) But I was so addcted (chain smoker, that even that wasn't enough to make me quit.

ONLY E-CIGS HAVE GOTTEN ME COMPLETELY OFF ANALOGS!!!

Plus, I am competitive ballroom dancer and it hs made a BIG difference in my stamina!

Yes, I will print this in case my memory fails me. Glad to hear that someone else knows the saying.
