Definitely. I’m watching my mom die of small cell lung cancer and hearing her chest rattle and watching her skin turn grey is really something. I wish I could say it didn’t take that as a motivator. I’m pretty bitter about it as of now.
Very sorry to hear that. I lost my MIL and husband to lung cancer within a year, and my brother to a non-smoking related cancer 5 months later.

I know most people would think that’s a great motivator, and it is, but the stress of it all still makes it all the harder. So if you can cut down or quit during the worst time of your life, you’ve reason to be quite proud.

I’m so sorry for your losses, I’m not all the way through this yet but I can imagine something will be different once she’s no longer here. Thank you for the vote of confidence!

    @jtbje Best part of vaping?

    When you hit 1 year smoke free (yesterday for me) - felt like I'd climbed mt everest, and in a way I had ;)

    Those first 2 weeks after quitting are absolutely horrible - they suck big fat hairy monkey balls ;) I used that as my motivation to stay smoke-free - I just didn't want to go through that all over again.

    Even if you are only a few days smoke-free - use that as your motivation, realising that as @Brewdawg1181 said, once you are past the first 2 weeks it gets ALOT easier.

    And trust me, the longer you stick with vaping, the more you will prefer it over smoking :thumb:
