Out in the middle of Nowhere
The regular ProV mini takes an 18350 battery.
The ProV mini with extension takes an 18490 battery.

The regular ProV takes an 18490 battery.
The ProV with extension takes an 18650 battery.

Larger battery=longer time you can use it between charges.

Honestly, with the Mini and the regular costing the same, I'd get the regular myself, but each person is different.

I have the regular with the extension cap myself. I've been looking and looking for a VV backup (since I only had one so far) I looked really hard at that VTube from Apollo myself, but opted for another Provari instead, for the simple reasons of:
1. having a regulated battery.
2. The VTube can't read ohms like the Provari can.
3. The VTube is longer than the Provari.
4. It's made of stainless steel.

So it's a matter of choice. Oh, and I also got the Pila charger instead of the other one. I like the Pila better, and I've heard nothing but good about it.

Happy Shopping!:D

Wow my head is spinning thank you all for your feedback! It looks like the ProVari is the way to go now between Reg and mini. I guess I will start my battery research! I like the looks of the mini (the vtube looks like a vibrator) and the optional cap for a bigger battery is a plus. I will be looking into the batteries and chargers recommended in this thread.

Thanks again, Scott

In the end, the x.x volts coming out of the end of a Provari is the same as the x.x volts coming out of the end of any other mod.

Not necessarily. The Provari is famous for its very clean voltage regulation. You can see it under an osciliscope. Some mods that are just slightly cheaper use poorly tuned pulse width modulation systems that jump all over the place. With the Provari what you set will be exactly the same from the start to the end of a battery. It also saves all your settings when changing batteries, which is a very nice feature that many mods don't have.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Provari. If I was you and you were worried about battery life I would do what some others have suggested and get the mini (satin black with green LED is the nuts!) and get the extender cap if so inclined. You will love it!

Lol... if not you can sell it to me ;)

Yes, the Provari is a great device and you will love it. If it is in your budget go for it. There are allot of other great devices, but very few will have anything negative to say about the Provari!

You may want to consider a juice feeder Box mod also. I have a Provari but have been playing with some friends REO box mods and they are comfortable in the hand, and provide a great vape!

The great news is because you buy one mod does not mean their is more experimenting and fun to have.

If you are going to get the extension cap for the mini, you might as well get the standard v2 and save $20.

i have a provari mini. just got it on monday. i got the extension cap with 18490 batteries. surprisingly 1 battery lasted three days for me, and i went through two ce3 XL clearomizers in that span of time.

Do you have the 1.5ml or 3ml? Top coil or bottom coil? I want to try the 3ml bottom coil so bad but I can't find it

Why? Isn't it nicer to have two options?
The Mini is kinda nice when you will be out on the town for a few hours.

Choices-choices ....... why do there have to be so many choices

I know what you mean. I went back and forth between which to get. Then I decided that it's only a 1/2" difference but a much bigger battery. I mean is 1/2" shorter worth 400mah. Then add in that you can only bring the mini to 1100mah.

The standard starts at 1100 mah and iyourll can bring it to 2200mah by adding a 1/2"

I guess it depends on the type of vaper you are. I generally vape between 5-6 watts but when I'm home, I chain vape like no other. Actually, I am like that at work too, but there I use mini's. Anyway, when I am home, I can use up a 700mah battery in about 4 hours.

I have the extension cap for the v2, but my main battery is the 1100mah. I use the extension cap and 18650 battery as my backup

A good place for batteries and chargers is Batteries-Chargers-Flashlights-PC gear-Only The Best

I have a standard and ended up loving it with the extension and 18650 batt. Not because of battery life...you can carry a spare battery in a safe case easily. I prefer it for the feel. Fits perfectly in my hand.

Good info here, I know I'm going to end up getting one. I won't be able to help myself. Having said that man I buy a lot of cool stuff for the price of one provari!

Yeah, but think of it this way, you were spending the money on analogs. You were just spending it $5-$7 at a time.

I could buy a new provari every month and enough juice to last me, which is a lot, and still not spend as much as I did on analogs

That's very true, that's also how I've been justifying my purchases, as soon as I skip the next 80 packs of analogs I'm going to break even lol.

Very true. I spent about $250 a month on analog... so all of these new purchases really mean nothing. Even if I don't break even and end up spending more/month, imo it is still worth it to keep me off analog. Any saving is just icing on the cake.

Due to the shipping and taxes I had to pay in Croatia, Provari cost me about 270$. And I never consider it expensive, for exact reason stated above. This thing took some beating, was dropped from second floor, is being used ~90% of the time ahead of other mods, and its still without any visible wear and tear, going strong, preventing shorts and powering my atomizers.

Thank you all for your input there's nothing better than getting advice from actual users of the device. Thanks to the classified section and forum member eastman I bought the regular size with 4 batteries. I also ordered the Pila charger based on recommendations posted on this thread.

Thanks Again,
Scott
