I've just gotta say...I would fully expect that cloned Sofia to suck.
I know they're expensive, but I think this fit's into the category of "you get what you pay for".
I could be wrong...

I want that dang sophia, there is a clone from rainbow heaven. I love the diver v2 except its so hard to refill a tank. A lot of times it comes unscrewed in the middle of the tank! Anyway that was why i wanted a side port filling tank.

I wouldn't trust one from Rainbow for sure.

Quilted Northern. Nothin' else. :2cool: Who's next?

I'm here, when I'm here
HAPPY FATHERS DAY Y'ALL!!! It's nice and quiet around Reds house today. The boy is in Kentucky for the summer and the 4 legged kids are sleeping. My Mrs. is making my favorite. Fried chicken, tater salad and corn on the cob! Gonna be a good day, tater!! :toast:

What is it that you don't like about using nr wire?

Yeah that. And besides, the design results in unnecessarily long leads from the coil. Wouldn't be too optimal for me at least. We'll see. I remember reading about Leo working on a new Sophia to accommodate resistance wires only. Wub wub

The ceramic cup could crack if it's heated up too quickly but it's remote that this will happen.
Actually, I think the cup is OK with heat from R wire - it's the little blue insulator that's not OK with it.
So yeah - I could see them making one with a different insulator that would be Ok to use without the ready-wires (or welds)...

I don't know about the Diver V2 but on the Sophia, I fill from the bottom. Just close the juice flow control and push it out from the bottom and refill.

You're right about that!! My mom didn't use this loosely but when she did, my sister and I knew we were in BIG trouble. Another one she would say when she didn't want to tell us no: "ask your father".

Wishing all dads a wonderful Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day everyone! Without dad's, the statement "you just wait till your father gets home" wouldn't mean anything :). I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

I have never had the pleasure of using that statement.

The diver is designed different, i think by a lot. Its diameter is very wide. Ex most dript tips wont fit it.
For example with my ibtank when i using the tool push the diver up a litte bit, the top cap pops off.

Or maybe the ibtank cant handle the diver.

When changing tanks, the diver will become lose in the middle. And thats just from unscrewing it from a mod a time or two

Sounds like the o-rings on the IBTanked tank are a bit tight for the Diver. The IBTanked tanks work great with the Sophia. The only time I've had an issue easily pushing the Sophia out to refill was when I needed to replace an o-ring.
