I find that the flanged ones tend to have better airflow. Not sure why, but I'm guessing the flange has something to do with preventing the 510 from getting too squished down.

But the main reason why I like flanged cartos is because that's one less direction for me to goof up and accidentally push the carto out of the tank. I know no one really has that issue, but I'm also a hell of a klutz. There's been a few times when I'm swapping out the drip tip and ended up pulling off the whole flangeless cartos. Made me a very unhappy kiwi.

I also get carts from IBT, but I get flanged.

The ones from IBT are smok(tech), my preferred brand.

I thought I was being smart trying to rebuild kanger coils; before i made the switch- automatic hatred. I was also so used to wiring other electronics; I was torching the wire before wrapping it. Dumb dumb dumb dumb. Since it was torched first it didn't want to coil right. Finally; after some help from uncle Jim, the lightbulb went off and it just worked. Every now and then I have a snafu now; but, that's more my OCD than anything.

I like the Tumbler too. I bought one for Bobo, but the bottom of it was too long to fit without an adaptor, which ruined the look. Too bad, because I really liked the vape. Then one of my friends stole it got it PIFed.

Ok so I decided to rebuild it over and try something else and its working great so far.....what I did was use a 3/32 drill bit, wrapped it 9 times with 28g......it came out to 1.5 ohms......got the cotton in snug but not to tight or loose. Got it back together and tried it at 4.3 volts......sounded angry lol.....went to 4.0, still angry......anyway I was able to go down to 3.4 (I was using the chart you get off the internet to tell you if your in the cool, green, or hot range.....3.5 was the last green spot before getting into the red range so I brought it down one more just to be safe at 3.4 and it still hits good, gives me the throat hit I want and im getting more vapor than I did on the other builds......FINALLY, I think I got it........how does all that sound to you more experienced folks?

I vape by taste, not numbers. I often happy vape in the red zone.

The ejuice determines my vape temperature, more often than not. Mad Murdock's 710 is one juice that does not tolerate high temp vaping, no matter how perfect your build. Also, higher or lower temps bring out nuances in flavor that can't be simply relegated to a chart.
