New topic: There are some IBTanked in the classies. And I was right - the green endcaps photographed are darker than they appear on IBTanked's website. The purple are like this, too. So, I think they might be dark enough to look decent with the Emerald Green. Anyways, I will be trying it as an alternative to brass all the time.

Dear ProVarinati Godz: please don't let me get addicted to pretty tanks.

How could you possibly do that?
(note - this is way out of date, need to do a new lineup soon...)

I keep haunting the IBTanked site, even though I'm not having much love from the one I have. It's pretty, but the promised awesome flavor thing is not there at all. Background: I used to use cartomizers back in the day and remember the awful taste of polyfill. Umm: HOT polyfill. *gross* So when I returned to vaping I went clearo and have loved actually getting flavor. Unfortunately (and it's possibly user error) the cartotank is not nommy. :(

There's these. I have NOT tried them - but Ikenvape tends to put out a good product...

Or you can join the Sophia fan club!! Rebuildable in the shape of a carto...

Those only come in dual coil, of which I'm not a fan. I didn't realize that when I ordered the Nitro single coil. I have yet to try them, so I don't know if there will be any difference between them and the Fusion or Platinum series.

I would have gotten a couple, but they also only come "mega" and I don't have any tall tanks...
I do have some Nitro's coming - I really prefer no-flange, but those aren't available (yet) either, and I needed SOMEthing...

Maybe a Sophia would be more your style? They work great in IBTanked. More info can be found in the ByLeo forum:

Man... The forum has sloooooowed down. Kinda miss the good ole routine where I would read a few pages and try to catch up, only to give up and end up lurking.

Just got back from a looooong day and decided to proceed with my provari cleaning ritual. All constants are now squeaky clean, and the threads are. As the ocelot would put it, like buttah~~

I'm always so happy to own a provari every time I look at the threads on the tube itself. Anyone ever realize how it's etched into the body and oh so beefy? Damned thing is gonna take a whole lot of abuse to get stripped.

It's possible, though not recommended. ScandeLeX did it and didn't notice a difference. Most of us buy our nr-r-nr wire pre-made. Any kind of wick can be used though.

Is it possible to build the Sophia with regular Kanthal and cotton or do you have to use the NR-R-NR wire and silica??

I'm really interested in the Sophia but I've never used a carto tank before...only mini PTII and KFL+...

Hmmm...ok, thanks. I do need to look into it a lot more. I saw Todd's video on it but don't remember that he used NR-R-NR wire specifically.

You can actually buy a small machine that does the NR R NR thing for you, you just line up the wires for the machine and it creates the connection. I'm guessing its around or under 50 bucks USD, though I'm not sure if it's still kicking around these days. With the increasing popularity of the Kayfun styled atomizers and the Aquas and Odysseuses and whatever other annoyingly complicated attys are out there, it'd probably receive good demand these days. Penelope clones anyone? I bet they're selling well if they're out there.

Anyone here ever used the AIOS or it's Ehpro clone? I was thinking about picking one up for my STNatty if it's easy enough the rebuild... I hear it has the juice hold capacity of a tank. But I don't understand the concept of it. How does it feel juice to the coil, anyone know or have a post reference where it's discussed already? It'd be a HUGE thing for me if it works well, I'd have a whole new favorite setup I bet.

Hi. Scan here. Yep I did it but purely by accident. I used it that way without any I'll affects.
After realizing what I'd done I asked questions just to be on the safe side. The answers scared me enough to undo my Kanthal only build and redo it correctly with ready wire (prebuilt NR-R-NR) purchased from Stormy's Vapor Cellar.

I didn't see them in standard size either. Only XL.

The Zapper V2 I use was $97 shipped from the UK. I've done resistance coils in the Sophia's/Dripper Pro's. Things you have to be aware of, things you have to guard aginst to do so... easier/safer to just do NR-R-NR micro coils.
