I'm wondering how ocey is doing :)

Outside of being completely nic fried last night, I'm doing fine. My KFL+ doesn't whistle or appear to leak at all. The ohms read the same now as they did when I first made the coil and when I tested it with the wick before putting it all together: 1.3Ω.

Since I was wide awake while fried, I think I made an almost perfect micro coil. I hope the resistance is low enough for an RM2, because that's all I have to build on.

ETA: I had no idea how big the kayfun is. Is there a nano kit that come with a ss tube?

Now that I hear you talking about the drip tip lengths I think I may have had that problem with my Igo-L build the other day. Everything was so harsh I woke up with a sore throat the next day. I was using a short wide mouth ss drip tip. I will have to try a longer drip tip and see if it is better. I have been afraid to use that Igo-L.

Thank you for posting about this drip tip thing. I would never had thought of it. It makes sense.

And thanks PoM.

Personally I think it's more an issue of the SS tips themselves--not the length. I don't like how they affect my flavor & vapor.
The only SS tips I don't have a problem with are of the $25 variety.

Am I right to assume based on the name of this thread that this is for provari owners/users?

If so which RBA would you suggest?
Thinking of getting a kayfun clone and if I like it springing for a real one.
And which wicking material would you suggest?
What ohm rating?
Thank yall!
And yes I'm looking to put this only provari currently I use a kanger aero

I built my first ever coil on a KFL+. I never paid any attention to air bubbles (didn't know I was supposed to lol) and never had a problem. I do get extra air out by letting the bottle suck the air back in after filling. It's a guessing game though as far as if it is full or not. I haven't had any problems and I am really liking this thing. My nova's are not being used at all. For me, that is a huge statement!

Glad to see that you are getting along with yours :)

Funny you mention that. I was just getting a metallic taste right now from the SS tip of my IGO-L. I was switching it over to a plastic one I have as I read your post. Not sure if that is it or vaping the same juice all day.

Uh huh, sure. What happens if something new and totally awesome comes out?

The only 2 mods I really want are that dark purple metallic ProVari and a MicroStick (on the email notification list). Then I am done.....until something else shiny gets my attention. Meanwhile, my green one should ship today and I am concentrating on toppers (which I really don't need any more of either).

Heck, the last 10 pages are mostly about people learning to build coils for their Kayfunni!
So, YEAH, you're in the right place!
We can GUARANTEE not to stay on topic - but you also will get some really good advice.

I'm a bit of a noob, and frankly, just plain suck at building coils, but I just did one, and it's working FANTASTIC, so I'll have a pic and notes up in a few minutes. Mine's like "kayfun coil for dummies" - actually, more like "coils for dummies with bad eyesight and a tendency to drop stuff".

i think the airflow on mine is messed up from trying to adjust that 510 center pin.
it's still good flavor and vapor, but not as tight as i had it yesterday :(

too funny train, looking forward to the dummies guide hahaha

ETA
should vapor come out the hole that is the airflow adjuster???

Lol- cool yeah I'm new to the whole thing just got my provari a few wekas ago and was using MVP for a month before that, before that I was on egos and evods.
Swore I would never go to an RBA up until I tried rebuilding the coils for my Aerotank and after realizing that was just a dumb idea I'm back in the market for another expensive vape toy.
Only I'm doing this one careful-
Good cheap clone to see of I can handle it then I'll pop for a real one.

Apparently, I need 3 clones before I decide to buy the real deal. But that's okay. The 2 I have (1 more on the way) work well and I like them.
