Btw for you folks who have seen my design for the provarinati battery cap, you would know that I am also exceedingly talented at graphic design. Shoot me a PM and I'll get one right out for you

ETA: for those who haven't seen it, here's how you might expect it too look like. I like to think that I draw my influences from Picasso. It's a little more on the abstract side.

K, we have some masters here.

Here is my dripper issue. I have to take "aqua lung" hits for vapor. The flavor is good but I was thinking about what I would need to do to get a moderate amount of vapor and flavor without sub-ohming.

I gather from what you are saying............that thinner wire with better air flow will require less of a long hit?

My current set up is a dual coil IGO T with 1.1 total resistance (30 gauge K wire) and cotton. Set at about 4 volts it makes a nice flavorful vape that responds very quickly. I drilled out the airholes to 1/16".

What are you set up on currently?

Yep. And while I don't mean to reinforce any preconceptions or stereotypes, but I used to consistently get better tips delivering to the one trailer park in town than i did in the one gated community.

I've done delivery before ( almost 20 years ago!). I remember I would get paid at the beginning of the night ( which was also the money I made change with). I remember it being hard work, it beat the heck out of the car, and a lot of people were rude.

I also know drivers would fight for the big tippers, and also know what it's like to deliver to the projects. I was given or offered some strange tips...from beer to food stamps (back in the day, a $10 bill in cash would also buy you $25 in food stamps), to illegal substances.

Along with the jerks, though, I did meet some really cool people.

I remember one regular customer, who was a blind guy who lived alone. He looked like a young Roger Daltry (singer for The Who). Never remembered the guys name, but my personal nickname for him (that I never said to his face) was "Tommy" (google it if you are not old enough to get it). You would get there and he would hand you a huge roll of money, and ask you to take out the pay, and would call out the tip. Ahh the good old days!

In one of my rda, I have 1 air hole plugged, and the other opened to like 2.2mm (I used a #42 drill bit-- the one that is used to tap a 4-40 thread). I'm running a single coil of 28awg, about 8 wraps (give or take), around a 2mm bobbin. Comes in between 1.6-1.8 ohms. Keep coil level or above air hole. Wicked with organic cotton, and I generally run between 4.2-4.5v on the ProVari. Tons of flavor, and about 70-90% of the cloud that I would get with my mech mod, dual coil, sub-ohm cloud chasing rig

I hope you mean the tank and not his sleeves. All I can think of is a chimp.

But yeah, the tank. I excited about it! The cons he brings up don't seem much more than anything else I've run into with different devices and I really like the look.

I like the tank, I am the kind of person that thinks, skin is not a canvas.

Sorry for the waste of time with that............I did this thing called, "not being lazy and clicking the item and reading" I do this frequently, ask without taking the time to just look. My sincerest apology.

No need to apologize, I like looking for stuff. It's while looking for things for other people that I frequently find something I'm interested in.

WARNING: Geek talk ahead:

One problem I see with the whole Windows 8 deal, is you really have 2 worlds. You have the metro apps, and then the traditional desktop. IMHO, they should have kept the traditional desktop in the OS for those on PCs. It really works better for multitasking and productivity (Ie viewing multiple windows at same time et ), and if they wanted app compatibility in there, put those in a virtual window

Mac OS and iOS really have always been the same OS kernel. Granted, each one optimized for the hardware it runs on (will soapbox on that later). What is cool about that is, you could easily take the same Mac application. Or iOS app and use them interchangeably, simply by changing the user interface. So the inter compatibility is there.

One reason that I believe that MacOS GENERALLY runs more efficiently than Windows, is that it's written for very specific hardware. Windows has many more processors and system boards to be compatible with-- adding to the overhead required. If windows was written in a more hardware specific form, the stability and performance would equal and possibly exceed Mac OSX. -- a prime example of that is the XBox gaming system. That is a specialized/optimized version of Windows, built for that particular piece of hardware. Faster, stable and better than any PC version of windoze I have ever seem

Yup, the benefits of a closed ecosystem. You don't have to deal with driver issues, BSODs, etc. because there are only limited hardware choices and Apple QC has control over all of it.

The flip side of that coin though is you can't optimize the hardware the way you want for a specific purpose (i.e. build a gaming rig). I'm not sure if Apple will ever make inroads into that market, but it doesn't seem to be what they are targeting since they are doing just fine in the mobile gaming space.

No they're working for tips - pizza place isn't going to cover gas. There MAY be a "per delivery" fee added to their pay - but often not. What's also crazy: they are usually required to prove to the employer that their car is insured. But car insurance specifically excludes use of the vehicle for pizza delivery. If you admit it, they double your rate.

And it's nuts for the STORE, too - they need an insurance policy, too, to cover delivery drivers. Like if a Dominos driver runs you over, who are you going to sue - the teenage driver, or the company?? But THAT policy is offered by maybe 2 insurance companies. Maybe. Could be just one. A lot of small independent shops doing deliveries do NOT have this kind of policy, and are just gambling that it'll be OK and if you got hit by a driver, well...you'd own a pizza shop.

I always tip delivery 20% but who does Rin deliver for????? I had no idea the delivery wage is the same as waitress/waiter wage???? Do they give gas cards too or gas isn't included. That sounds majorly screwed up to me.

I did a lot of waitressing back in the day (well, not too far back cuz I'm still 29 and holding, holding, holding ;)) and I know it's feast or famine nights.

I always for the get to add what I am using. The current set up is a Taifun in Dripper mode. The holes are adjustable, you can make it one hole or two and then vary the size of those holes by turning the cap. Wicking is cotton.

The first set up was a single coil, 30g about 1.5 both holes open full (it has to be at least 1/16 each hole)

The current is dual, 30g about 1.1 and one hole only open full.

Both set ups really did the same thing. I can take long............full drags and get a ton of vapor and a lot of flavor BUT I have to take long full drags. As compared to say, the Fogger. Better flavor with the dripper but a much longer drag.

The Provari won't let me go higher than 3.5 volts without an error.

I thought it was just taking too long to heat up and that is why I have to take such long hits. I also need to "warm it up a bit" before it performs.

EDIT: the air holes are high on the Taifun Dripper. The well is deep too and will hold a lot of juice. Although the coils are high, I don't think they are in line or could be without really long legs.

I have been busy fighting our oppressors in the FDA. However, I am between projects on that issue for at least a few days. I will try to be here a bit more often.

It is nice to see you, too, Highness.

That's pretty much what I told people when they asked about you. Keep fighting the good fight Praetor!

You could help with the Kayfun quartz thing though. I have been thinking about this for a while and now I have two Kayfuns and nothing else I really want right now. I am partial to glass (glass-ish) even though I don't use tank crackers but A. I didn't know if it was worth the investment or B. the best place to buy (value-wise)

That's what I thought you meant... 100% tip.

It wasn't her fault.
