Yeah... I looked through them a couple times before but the problem was that nothing was in stock. They take long enough to ship and get here... Even longer when it's not actually there. I wish they'd stopped selling stuff that isn't physically there. It's just stupid and causes problems. (thus the reason why one person will buy a version of something, say the Nemesis clone, and another will buy the SAME exact item but get something different. between the time the first person placed the order, the vendor runs out and has to get the product from a different distributor than the original) (this has happened, admitted by F.T. themselves)

I like the glass tips from Envision, but I don't know if they are as long as you are looking for. The tips are Borosilicate glass, so are pretty sturdy. The first page of the blog shows the available shapes:

Envision Glass Tips | Envision Vapor

A number of vendors also make "Tru-Stone" tips which are real crushed stone, mixed with an acrylic resin, formed around a metal tube:

Tru-stones

There's also Molehill Mountain: » Products Page Molehill Mountain Art Drip Tips

And Teena (known as Black Raven on etsy) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3286-glass-drip-tips-charms-e-cigarettes.html

I have all of these tips (although I got my Tru-Stone from a different vendor) and none of them get hot.

Okie dokie. They told me when they were doing another batch of Frenilla but I forget when they said it'd be ready. (Ok... just looked at my emails and they said 6-8 weeks as of May 6... so yeah)

I want back with my computer geek IT/web design classmates. This random humanities class I missed somewhere along the way bites. Fortunately, it's over on Monday, but I'm not responsible if I virtually smack someone.

Heehehehehe- I say go for it! A good smack won't hurt anyone, especially virtually ;)

So one of the two R91s I bought from VaporDNA is working flawlessly, the other is having issues firing. Of course the one having issues is my fiance's! She texts me telling me she's about to through the thing (with the Vari) in the street! I told her if she does the wedding is off!

Anyway she's had issues with it every day. I've rebuilt the coil twice, rewicked, checked that the center post was tightened down, checked the posts & wires to make sure everything was good. I'm not sure what's wrong with it at this point. Mine has worked perfectly for the last 3 days since I built it!

I did notice that the Vari was having an issue reading that coil...even after I built a new one. Ohms would jump anywhere from 2.2 to 2.6

I saw Ed's post stating this could be an issue with the coil not being 'balanced'. Is that due to the coil not being the same distance from each post? If that's ok, could it be due to a post block that isn't aligned properly? I did notice that the insulator under the silver post block is a little 'squished' from where I tightened it down and now the block does not sit completely level on the base.

Balanced - they were talking about dual coils.
Worth trying to reposition that insulator - that could be causing varying resistance if it's making momentary contact - or shorting would prevent the 'Vari from firing it. I'd go back, fix that, and also doublecheck that the pin is making a good connection - maybe try with no ring if you're using a ring, to more clearly tell if it's working first. It sounds like one of those is the problem!

Back to a couple days ago (I think - it's all a blur):
I finally emptied and cleaned my Russian.
As you may know, I HATE coiling and wicking if it can be avoided.
What's in there now is a 1.4 ohm coil, with what I think is XC-116, though it's possible it's Ekowool - but it rinsed clean, so I'm leaving it.

But following some tips, I did:
- trim the ends a little shorter
- added a wisp of cotton, over the top of the coil and dipping down towards the channels
I figure EVEN I can manage swapping that out every couple tanks if it improves the vape.

So far, it seems to be
- wicking a little better, haven't cranked it up, but also haven't had anything resembling a dry hit
- a slightly "smoother" flavor. It was a touch off before, and now it's just kind of...well, smooth. Not STRONG, but nice.

Bottom line - if I find the cotton "overwick" will last a couple tanks, I'll probably keep doing this.
Oh - and it's straight simple cotton ball cotton. So little that I don't think I'd go buy special cotton for this use...

I see people saying that their cotton lasts them days........I can't take it after one. Not really dark or coffee flavors, just gets a taste to it. Even the yarn needs to go after a day and half max

Yeah, we'll see. That would be a problem for me.
Especially if it's "days" meaning "time" rather than mls.
I run a bunch of tanks at once - I could take a week to go through a full tank on a Russian because it's in "light rotation"...

And what I HOPING for is to not have to open the thing up often...every few fill-ups would be OK, but every couple days - nope.

It's official. I am just backwards :)

I pulled the air tube completely out at first with no leaks and then replaced it with a larger diameter air tube and it is amazing.

I never tip $0 but we ate at a Bob Evans where we saw our waitress exactly one time. She took so long to come to us that we had already picked out food and waited forever. Then a runner brought our food out and we had to go to the front to get our bill and pay after waiting forever. She had no tables, in fact......the whole place was empty. We left her a quarter and two pennies in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head.

They do that to themselves.

You know what happens when you play a Nickleback album backwards?

It still sucks

You had me shocked at "we ate at Bob Evans". :D

Did the Spectrum tube fit your nano kit? Spectrum says the tubes fit the Tarsius nano kit. Tarsius and SoV were the first quartz nano kits I read about and they were different from each other, but I'm not sure in what way. I don't know which (if either) the Rainbow Heaven is like.

I haven't purchased the glass from Spectrum for the nano kit. I just remember someone in another thread, a while back, mentioned they had them. It didn't even occur to me to ask if it would fit any vendors aftermarket kit. I guess one should check with Spectrum before purchasing one.
