Maybe it's "put out" like you might "put out" a tenant - as in "go get another place to live"?
I don't think they'd "Put down" a cat for ...... on clothes...
That's how I interpreted it, anyway!!

No.. I get what you're seeing... I just really am confused now. If they out them out... as in outside... Why is that sad? Did the cat run away? It is too late/early for this!!

It is my understanding that when someone puts their pet "to sleep" they refer to it as putting their pet "down." Never heard "out" before. Maybe I've been saying it wrong???

I've never heard "out" before either. I use "put down" or "euthanized."

Ocey said "scripture" so I responded with "scripture." :)

Religion talk doesn't bother me as long as people are respectful about it. Problem is that politics and religion talks always seem to end badly. I don't understand why. Can't people debate without it turning into an argument? I digress... I was just messing with you.

Well, you know, put out of it's misery? I don't know. I honestly thought it was a typo and the author of said comment isn't responding. I'm going to have to pull a "Chief" soon and start posting to myself. I swear everytime I come on here everyone is gone. Cursed evening shift hours!

It is not up to people to seek vengeance though, only God - pretty sure that's what scripture will tell you :)

Oh, of course I know that :) but there are so many things in the scriptures that can be taken out of context to support just about anything.

I haven't had to do that yet. My "ocelot" (posted many pages ago) is the only pet that was solely mine. (purchased and care for myself/etc) I hope she has many years left. She turns 7 in a couple weeks. She's my baby. She really is the best thing ever. She lays next to me (is right now), cuddles with me, greets me when I come home, makes me laugh when I'm sad (corny, I know but she really seems to sense when I'm sad) and never messes or ruins furniture/etc.
Worst thing that ever happened regarding something like that was when my grandma had to put her dog down. I grew up with him even though I didn't live there. It's hard. I can only imagine it being your own.

A well loved cat can have many years in them. My Lexi is 14, and still acts kitten-like, yet is always within arms reach of me. Sleeps by my head every night since she adopted me.

I feel like this thread is usually hoppin' late night!

Yes ma'am! You know it. Man this makes me wanna brag on my church for a minute. My best friend is what you call "church hurt." Lots of bad experiences. I finally dragged her with me kicking and screaming. After she liked it, she e-mailed my pastor. Her mother is gay and has been with the same woman since we were 13, maybe earlier. Our Pastor said while they believe in traditional marriage, he would never, ever preach against gays. I just love that, because that's the essence of what it's all about. NOT JUDGING. You just hear so much crazy bad stuff about Christians persecuting others, when in reality we have no room to do so.

Religion talk doesn't bother me as long as people are respectful about it. Problem is that politics and religion talks always seem to end badly. I don't understand why. Can't people debate without it turning into an argument? I digress... I was just messing with you.

I hope I am always respectful :) Didn't go so well in the other thread. Ever try and read The Outside? Shew rough bunch over there! But I agree..it never ends well.

Aw! My cat acts super young. She runs around for no reason, still plays and all that... But I've always fed her with good food. Blue Buffalo. It was the best that there was at the time and honestly she's had no issues so I've kept her on it. Good thing about it is even though it's expensive, it doesn't have those horrible fillers like the cheap stuff does so she eats less. I even have her on the gluten free one. LoL. I think it's important to feed your pets good food. It also minimizes vet visits and all that.

Oh, I know. I wasn't referring to you... but even on our "Gourmet Juice" thread or the old one, when topics went to Religion or Politics, we ended up needing a moderator. That's the reason Jon and SweetTab had their falling out was because of politics. (at least it began that way) I personally can argue/have a difference of opinion without taking it to heart or being offended... I honestly like arguing to an extent. My brother and I used to do it constantly. Keeps your whits about you. Lol.
But no. You're sweet. I wasn't referring to you, personally. Whatever people choose as their religion (or lack thereof) is their business. Just wished everyone would have that mentality. It would solve A LOT of problems. People are too focused on what others are doing.

Aww thank you! I definitely would be sad if I came off any other way but would want to know. I love a healthy debate! But yeah, those arguments were fun. I just watched from the sidelines. LOL.
