When you touch up, do you just do the roots?

No because I want it ALL a different color... None of my hair right now is the color I want it... The last time I dyed it, I just dyed it light brown because it's the closest to my natural color. It looks fine unless you really inspect it... and honestly... most people would probably assume I did it on purpose because it has that "ombre" look/effect.
I think at this point my options are growing it out/cutting it off or bleach... And bleach isn't even guaranteed and I hate what it does to hair. (Haven't bleached my hair in many years)

This thread really proves the statement "90% of the internet content is porn and cat pictures".

Now I can just hear Train2's recap of the last posts in the morning: "Jenna is looking for a new baby daddy...religion was discussed in the saloon.. A few members, including chief posted pictures of their ..... cats- and no one got an infraction or suspended because of it!

Ah, was just curious as I rarely did red, but it's a hard color to maintain. Once you get it right, just do the roots, as the ends are more porous and will hold the color in a more saturated fashion, resulting in darker ends. Or so I was told once!

Yeah... My thinking is that one of the times I dyed my hair brown, it may have had some black coloring in it. That stuff is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. (maybe not impossible... but a PITA. And I don't mean the bread)
I used to have a relatively bright red hair color (similar to my avatar) but #1. I can't do that now because of my job #2. As you said, its a B to maintain. It washes out SUPER quick... and I wash my hair a lot (I know many people don't but I have to... I feel gross if I don't wash it everyday)

Yeah, I think you're right in the brown being the culprit. Red washes out so fast! I can't remember how I got the black out...but it took quite a while. Luckily my hair grows crazy fast. Looking back at pictures I can see that I was keeping it fairly short in the grow-out phase though...

Aaaaand it looks like our hair talk has cleared the saloon!:toast:

Speaking of cats- I'm so sad. My son put his cat out. Cat has been getting out of the house & when he does decide to bring his ... in he pees on my sons' clothes- no one else's. just his.

I haven't had to do that yet. My "ocelot" (posted many pages ago) is the only pet that was solely mine. (purchased and care for myself/etc) I hope she has many years left. She turns 7 in a couple weeks. She's my baby. She really is the best thing ever. She lays next to me (is right now), cuddles with me, greets me when I come home, makes me laugh when I'm sad (corny, I know but she really seems to sense when I'm sad) and never messes or ruins furniture/etc.
Worst thing that ever happened regarding something like that was when my grandma had to put her dog down. I grew up with him even though I didn't live there. It's hard. I can only imagine it being your own.

I think you mean he put his cat "down," no??

I saw out... but in context it seemed like "down" because they said they were sad? I am confused now?

It is my understanding that when someone puts their pet "to sleep" they refer to it as putting their pet "down." Never heard "out" before. Maybe I've been saying it wrong???

No.. I get what you're seeing... I just really am confused now. If they out them out... as in outside... Why is that sad? Did the cat run away? It is too late/early for this!!

Maybe it's "put out" like you might "put out" a tenant - as in "go get another place to live"?
I don't think they'd "Put down" a cat for ...... on clothes...
That's how I interpreted it, anyway!!

I've never heard "out" before either. I use "put down" or "euthanized."

Well, you know, put out of it's misery? I don't know. I honestly thought it was a typo and the author of said comment isn't responding. I'm going to have to pull a "Chief" soon and start posting to myself. I swear everytime I come on here everyone is gone. Cursed evening shift hours!

LeX, can you please explain to us exactly what your son did with his cat? We're all confused over this statement. [........]

REALLY? Ya'll seriously made my head hurt. I said out as in out the house - not dead as in dead.
I don't know why he started pee'g on my sons' stuff but he couldn't take it anymore - so kitty had to go.
I think he's been doing it cause as soon as a door opens he runs outside so maybe he felt he needed to mark his territory.
I just saw him about an hr ago. Poor thing looks like he joined a cat gang & all of them were standing around guarding him like I was going to take him from them.
He'll be on the porch in the morning- I'll be calling a vet to try to figure out why he's doing this.
My son doesn't miss him but I do.
