Generational gap perhaps? :D

I think of "The Fox & the Hound", "101 Dalmatians", "The Aristocats", "Escape to Witch Mountain", "The Love Bug", etc. Although I did see all the ones you mentioned when I was a kid too Ocey. They weren't new releases though  [cough] [cough]

Yes. Like Stars Wars. For the record I didn't see the classics like, Bambi and Lady in the Tramp when they were first released either.

Didn't see the first one. No to "Something about Mary"... I mean. It wasn't horrible but definitely nothing special. Just like Along came Polly/Molly... whatever. It was ok... It just seems like all the parts he plays are the same.

Something About Mary was one of the best, as far as flatulence-level humor goes...just can't top beans and franks with hair gel...:D

101 Dalmatians is a good one. Aristocrats was ok. Is Land Before Time a Disney movie? That was the first movie I saw in theaters. (to date my movie experience... LoL) Beauty & the Beast was the first and only movie I saw with my Grandma... which will always have special importance/special place in my heart.

Why don't you just get a maid? I think they're cheaper and you get to send them home.

You have to "pay" maids. Who wants to give someone a fair wage or living wage and then you have that stupid minimum wage crap. The words "food" and "shelter" can be subjective.

Jenna, download the Africa song by Toto for your trip.

"I bless the rains down in Africa".........that's what that lyric is. I thought this was sucked the rains or something similar.

I want a kid.............I think I would have to adopt but I would want a 17 year old girl so I could have someone to do my chores around the house and skip all the crap years..........get rid of her a year later and maybe adopt another.

D, that's the greatest misconception in history. When they reach an age of capability, they simultaneously reach an age of rebellion and apathy. While they're more than capable of actually doing a good job, it nearly requires bodily harm to actually get it to happen.

The level of effort required on the adults part to coerce the adolescent to actually work, makes the actual task almost seem appealing :D

I can see your point for American kids..........that's why I was thinking maybe a South American kid or I could get a Russian Mail Order bride........but adopt instead. I hear separation is cheaper that way.

Very interesting concept. I wonder if I can trade in one of mine for a nice underprivileged Columbian kid...(just kidding of course!)

<---------Dying laughing over here
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I always said I wanted to adopt an adult. Spend holidays, trade gifts, yada, yada, yada...when holiday's over, back to normal life and adopt an adult the following year. Skip all the years until about 27 or so.

LOL! You're the first person I've seen throw 'hating men' and Maleficent together in a public forum! Hey Chief...she's waitin' for ya!

View attachment 344794

Just kidding Jenna :p Not sure what Disney is teaching all the little princess wannabes with this one though :?:

They saved the company targeting girls as their primary market, and between Disney TV and radio Disney they've completely monopolized that market! I can't shut the stuff off with an 8 year old girl around!!!

I found Maleficent 'meh'. The 8 year old loved it, and Angelina was perfect in the role...but in the end I found the main plot and ending derivative of 'Frozen'...which we all agreed was a much better movie.

I'd sum up those points here but I'm not into posting plot spoilers for anyone who has yet to see either film ;)

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! That was the main theme in the beginning, I felt and I LOVED IT! The majority of men would do JUST THAT in order to have power! Sorry I'm not sorry - men and their egos/power trips is something I will NEVER GET! Major turn off! Even the managers at my restaurant are like that. Dude, you manage a chain. You aren't God. Get over yourself! Oh, and working for doctors - fuggetaboutit! Also, I felt it stayed in tune with the original in that Aurora is arguably has the least personality of any of the Disney princesses. I was sad she didn't sing though, but I definitely bought the Lana Del Ray version of Once Upon a Dream!

I love kid movies though. Tangled, to me, was great. Ice Age. All the classic Disney. (Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast)

If you love Tangled you MUST SEE FROZEN!!!

We went to Disney last summer (the reason I got into vaping) and the Beast's Castle was my absolute favorite! I can't wait to go again. My favorite was probably Little Mermaid though, followed closely by Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Aladdin!

Any comment I could add to this would either get me in trouble or more ignore buttons than I currently have.

You're right...all men are scum!!! I'm going to go pray for forgiveness for being born a man! Maybe that will work for your essay? :p

Chief, take it from here! :D

EDIT: Sorry Jenna, I know you're not actually like this...but this is too tough to resist :2cool:

I liked Misheard Lyrics almost as much as Literal Videos.

Re: Misheard Lyrics, my favorite one I misheard is the background vocals on Sweet Home Alabama. I swear the girls are singing "Love Alcohol."

Ok up until this very moment, I swear Toto was saying "I miss the rains down in Africa". It's bless? How the heck do they bless the rain?

I'm the biggest one for screwed up lyrics. I never can tell WTH the songs say. That stupid song by Chumbawamba

Me: " I get knocked down, I get up again, I'll never be a peeping Tom" instead of you're never gonna keep me down.

aahahaha! My neighbor owns car lots around town and he has a Russian mail order bride. I can't understand a freakin word she says. If they happen to be over (which I hate), I have to look at him to interpret every time she talks. Finally he said "she's speaking English" Still can't understand her dude....interpret.

exactly! I can do whatever it is myself quicker than I can ask, then have to deal with procrastination, then come the threats if he doesn't do whatever the job is...and finally having to do it myself anyway cause it's a crap job.

I always talk loud to people I can't understand. My hubby said "For GOD's sake...she's not deaf" I also speak slowly in an Asian accent. Doesn't matter what nationality they are from. I just hang up on people I can't understand at work. :)
