Only my mother can trip over a doorstop during Sunday School and break her hip. She is basically okay, but having surgery in the morning. I guess the pins in her arm and in her knee where not enough. And she wonders why no one will travel with her?

BTW: My way of dealing with stress is sarcasm.

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. My DH broke his hip a few years back. It will be a tough go of it for a while. Once she gets home encourage her to keep up with her physical therapy exercises; it does help to regain mobility quicker. My prayers and good thoughts your way..............

This may have already been answered here or will at the vape meet you may currently be at, but I asked the same question on another thread and Moonswanni kindly posted this:

I do not know where or how you found this but thank you very much. Your hunting skills are unsurpassed. And you have brought a feast!

One thing I learned real quick was being here on ECF and talking with all the knowledgeable people here, at the second local vape meet I went to I was already starting to learn about rbas and coils and provarii while 95% of the people at the meet were using 650 egos and little clearos. Now there are more vape shops and quite a few people sporting mech mods and kayfuns and tridents. I have only seen two people with a provari in all these months (since last August). But a few of the guys are building coils and vaping Boba's and Pluid. I think there are a couple of sub ohmers but I am not sure.

I take it that no one knew enough to help you? That's a bummer.

Everything I have learned has been here or links from here.

Number of Vapers I have met in 19 months of vaping = 0 (other than myself, my daughter & her boyfriend who live next door)

The vape store than came in here is right across the street from the local college campus, and all the juice they sell (according to my daughter) is made in a another shop about 45 miles away and shipped in. I haven't been there yet, but it might be funny for them to see this old woman come in with my Kayfuns/ProVari combos. Daughter had her Silver Bullet/w 25mm carto tank and they had no idea what that was...so will be interesting.

For me it was almost like stepping back in time. I was already here on ECF for about a month before I walked into the only vape shop I found near me. At the time I had never seen anything other than my Spinner and Evods in real life. Only pictures here and on vendor sites. I distinctly remember walking in the door of the shop and had to consciously keep myself from blurting out loudly, "but they are so small" when I spotted the vamo in the display case. Everything looks so much bigger on the internet. Now I am going to get all kinds of good jokes out of that line.

I did not see my first Provari for months. Got to hold it at the vendor's booth. He refused to put a battery in it so I could get a sense of the weight. It was right when the Zombie Provari was introduced. He was a fool. I had the cash on me to buy it right then and there. I did not and told him why. Bah!

:offtopic: Went to dinner tonight at Buddy V's new place in the Venetian. I was vaping after dinner and a guy at the next table asked, "How's that workin' for ya." I told him and he proceeded to tell me about how he travels to China a few times a year and he manages to pick up about 6,000 units of batteries and vapor starter kits. He gets the batteries for about $1.95 each and the starter kits for about $4. Then he turns around and sells them to 2 distributors here in the states. He asked what I was using and I told him and he didn't even know what a ProVari was. I just couldn't get this guy to shut up and I felt like telling him what crap he was buying but of course it was senseless. He's makin' some big buck dollars so who cares?

I take it that no one knew enough to help you? That's a bummer.

Two young men were kind enough to work on it for me. Only one guy there that does a vapetv show even knew that the R91 had a v2. I had to show and explain what the problem was and how to tighten down the positive block and how to use the spanner tool. Thank goodness I brought all the tools with me. I walked them through it.

The post is tighter but still can be moved pretty easily. He could not get it tighter with the tiny spanner tool and vise grip or needle nose pliers I brought. It was good enough to get a 1.4 ohm coil built. It read 1.4 ohms on his SVD, 1.3 ohms on the little ohms checker black box I bought at the meet, and my provari kept popping out an E1 error. My MVP2 would fire it ok but the ohms did vary up to 3.8 for a bit. I made sure my provari was set to 3.2 volts and we put the r91 back on it. It fired.

So now I am using it on my provari mini at 3.7 volts and so far (for about 2 hours) it is still reading 1.4 ohms. It is a very good vape with a well loved flavor so I can tell if it starts going crazy on me.

I do believe that I am going to want the v1 center pin, even if it is not critical to the r91's use. I do not like that the block is not tight. We will see if the resistance holds over the next hours and days. I am going to make sure I get whatever fix Kebo is going to offer.

I like the vape on this device very much. 1.4ohms is lower than I normally vape at so I am not sure if it is the best vape ever. But it is the best vape I have ever had outside of a dripper. And I drip 95% of the time. So this may be the device that sets me free.

And I want to thank everyone here in this thread that spent the time to help me with this R91 problem. All the research and explanations and pictures were so important to me. I am proud to be a part of a very caring community here.

I will tell you that all the guys at the vape meet were going nuts over my R91 v2. No one had seen one and all but one guy did not even know about the issue. A few decades ago all the guys would have been checking me out instead of an atty. Oh well............... I did drum up a lot of interest and talk. None of the people who were building coils and using RBAs were overly impressed with the floating center pin. One guy suggested that I get a Hippo 2 or I think he said a flat cap for the provari in order to use the R91 on it because of the floating center pin. I have no idea why that would be a good idea or if I should get one.

Good news, I guess {{yawn}} I sent an email to the vendor saying that after reading more about problems with the V2 I didn't want it. They replied quickly to just refuse the package and they would send me a refund. That was too easy. So Eciggity gets points for being a reputable vendor and I still don't have a toy.

Any rumors around that SvoeMesto plans to screw up improve the Kayfun Lite?

Some one here uses the octopus i forgot who...
I love it love the tight draw but im looking for another rda with a tight draw as well
Are there any others?

I'm a big fan of the Vicious Ant Cyclone RDA with Cyclops AFC. It's extremely versatile for single or dual coils, single or dual adjustable air holes...can be very tight all the way through wide open.

The V2 is out...I am sure that PoM has one of them in his new Avatar...There is a KFL thread on here, too.

Notice how I didn't photograph the toilet...........that's a secret :)

Has anyone tried a different coil configuration on the side? I think it was 2-I, says, "screw holes for alternate coil configuration". I was thinking closer to the deck and shorter wicks would wick better...........thoughts?

p.s. tried the KayFun dripper thing......................it was alright.

Dripper mode with picture: FastTech Forums

This one specifically. It was like 12 pages back and a few people had tried it.

Does it work?..........yes. My coil diameter was a bit high though so I just couldn't tighten the top all the way down and could have easily fixed it with a smaller diameter but this was just a test and I left the existing coil in there.

Was it amazing?..............not really. I have an IGO with drilled out air holes and arguably, it has dual coils but it tasted better and produced more vapor...........so, although it was a fun experiment; it likely will not stay in dripper mode.

PoM-PoM posted this a few pages back. It's the build I'm using going on a couple of days now.

Nothing complicated. Remove chamber & cap turning your Kayfun tank into a dripper.

Here's one I found through "googling" - not sure if this is the one drummerskey was referring to.

Has anyone ever got tired of vaping? I can't find a flavor that I'm not tired of, I'm tired of looking for a new one. I vape at 0 nic so it's not an addiction thing to nicotine, but I enjoy it because I can't eat the things that I vape. I bet I have about 100 flavors and can't find one I love. They all taste weird to me now.

Has this happened to anyone else?
