I've been using Bickford's for some days now... and I see a real difference in how clean my atomizers stay on these flavours... even the sweetest ones (I combine them with tasteless from e-cig btw... I took a gamble that this liquid would give me my nicotine, but not the clogging that most e-cig flavours seem to do... to then mix this with Bickford-flavours - and it looks like that gamble was a good one).
So these Bickford flavors are not only tastier then a lot of the flavours you can get as e-smoke liquid; but it looks very much like they are a whole lot cleaner too! Hope I can find a similar quality a bit nearer to home one day too; really worth it to smoke using this, for me :) (Thanks again Windblown! :D )

And how about you? Smoking again I hope !?

Yes, I'm back in business at last. :p

Finally got the batteries working again, thanks to your good suggestions.
And I had ordered a backup that arrived today.

I am beginning to wonder if I could have damaged the batteries with the Bickfords. I had been dripping the flavors straight into the atomizer, instead of mixing them with e-liquid.

How are you mixing your flavors and e-liquid? Do you just add a few drops of flavor, or is it more like half and half?

i believe BananaDoc has been dripping straignt Bickfords with no issues what-so-ever, so I don't believe that is the cause. maybe the atomizer just needs a good cleaning

es verdad... no worries at all. Of course, I have 2 pen types from SmartFixx and one almost always seems to be drying from a thorough cleaning...i tend toward the OCD when it comes to preventative maintenance.

BTW CaSH, your fiancee is lovely! ;)

Well, I use medium strength at the moment (around 11 mg); so I bought 24 mg tasteless. To get to the 11/12 I want, I put the same amount of tasteless and Bickford-flavour into a small bottle, then shake it: done and ready then. And yes, even when mixing like that it's still thinner (a bit) then the usual liquid. But frankly I think that's good for the atomizer, keeps it cleaner.
Maybe some pens are better then others at keeping the liquid around the atomizer, and not leaking to the battery, though (well, actually I know that is the case). So if yours tends to leak through, you will need to either drip less at a time; or make your own cartridges with bickford and use those. One of the two I would think...
Nice to hear you are back to e-smoking! And now with a back-up then... will be a relief :)

For htose that are using PG, two questions- one: I read someone say they got it at a sheep store or farming/ranch shop? would this stuff here on Amazon be the same kind of stuff? It states not for 'human consumption', but is it the same stuff? http://www.amazon.com/Durvet-Inc-D-...2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1213755102&sr=8-2 My second question- when you mix PG in with homemade smokin juice, what is the ratio of PG to cooked down tobacco?

For those using Glycerin as their base, would this be the right stuff? http://www.amazon.com/Vegetable-Glycerin-Oil-4-oz/dp/B0001TM9MC/ref=tag_dpp_lp_edpp_img_in I notice that it says "Vegetable Glycerin Oil" - is the "Oil" part of it not good? Or is htis basically the stuff you use? Here's anotrher glycerin too http://www.amazon.com/Restorers-Aff...2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1213755388&sr=1-2

@ Nazareth: about the PG in your link: it doesn't give much information as to grade, all I see is 'animals only'. No info can mean it's okay; ór that it's a lower grade that is only just acceptable for animals... so guess that is a risk you can take or leave... without more info, I myself would tend to leave it if I had other choices.
The PG I get from a 'sheepdoctor' over here: I know from that that it's pharmacy-grade. That is good enough for me as to safeness (but again: that's my choice, doesn't need to be choice of others; just like I use skin-cream that was developed for cows and comes in half-liter pots, and people look strange at me; but when the exact same is put into very small pots and sold at the pharmacy (same name even... udder-cream ;)...), then people dó think it's safe... and pay 4x the price for a pot that is 4x smaller then the one I got from the cow-shop... it's all just choice, belief and trust I guess: each defines ones own borderlines not-to-cross ;) )

SmartFixx has sent me another battery, VERY good customer service I must say. I recommend them very highly.

I will second that statement, and add that the shipping has been phenomenal so far- I ordered the Penstyle on Saturday afternoon, and it was in my post office box monday afternoon- I wasn't expectign it until at least Wednesday at hte ealiest. They've also gone way above and beyond when my Mini Atomizer died as I've outlined throughout htis thread. One thign though, I hope they will offer some flavoured Cartridges i n the future, and perhaps lower the price of their atomizers or develop a bit better atomizer- but other than that, everythign has been excellent in terms of their makign sure their customers are well taken care of- Best customer service I have ever run into I must say.

I wish I could get my hands on some pure Brickford.. but unfortunately all I could get in my small town is the McCormicks (really cheap, but not suitable) and Lorann Gourmet (not cheap, $1.50/3.7ml, only few flavors suitable : Apple, English Toffee, Maple, Praline).

Well I have been using the four flavors mentioned above and they haven't done any destruction of atomizers yet. The best flavor I liked is the English Toffee and I am close to finishing it, and next would be apple. I would stay away from maple/praline next time. There goes my little experimental notes for comparison.

Oh... by the way the ingredients are basically propylene glycol, water, artificial flavoring and maple flavor has maple in it.. I don't know what maple they added to it.. the bark.. the tree or whatever. The smoke is decent enough and now I got to think how to infuse nicotine in to the flavors. The distributors of the flavors is : LorAnn Oils Inc., Lansing MI 48910 and their website is http://www.lorannoils.com

Do Not Use McCormicks!!!!!!!

It killed my atomiser, the sugars are too thick.

From my tests and for my taste, I'd suggest two-thirds Bickford Kahlua and one-third E-Liquid. You'll really but cutting your nicotine intake that way, and increasing the taste of the vapor. Course, for your stomach AND your addiction, you could chew a Tums. That will be alter the PH of your mouth so you absorb more nicotine with inhalation! Acid mouth, no good; alkaline mouth, yum for nicotine.
