The good flavours have no sugars in them. Even if you taste something sweet, not all sweet is sugar. Same was said in another thread - but perhaps you don't know how to keep up with new threads and posts Fish? Next time you log in, press 'todays posts' in the bar at the top on the first page (the index-page)... then you will have a list of (mostly) all threads with new posts - that way you can keep up with them in an easy way. :)

Lol TB Friend Fish sure is going to die of worry, agree... :D

Finally received my Bickford flavors. Opened the bottles and they smelled good. Tasted some and it certanly was not as strong as I would expect pure flavoring to be. Does this stuff really work?

Brian

Update. I dripped some directly on the atomizer and smoked it. While some of you may like this stuff, it was a waste of money for me. Maybe I got a bad batch or somehting but even JC juice has more flavor than Bickford's concentrated flavors. I was hoping to use it to soup up my Juice. So, in response, I looked up super concentrated flavoring and all you find is oils. Guess I'll try a little of that to get more flavor.

Oils might be what kills atomisers Brian. I use LorAnn candy flavourings, they are concentrated and most don't have oil, colours or sugar.

Have a look here - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/1137-flavoring-shops.html

Do you smoke it straight or do you use it to soupe up your juice? My thinking with the oils is that it is so concentrated, you would have to use very little and it would be well diluted by the juice, say a drop or 2 per mill of juice. Juice suppliers have to be using oils for flavoring if Bickfords is so weak.

I don't use it neat, it's too strong for me like that. I use about 1ml per 10ml of diy juice and usually that's strong enough. Some of the flavours are stronger than others though so you may need to use some of them neat. The coconut for example has a lovely smell but not much taste, I might try dripping that neat myself.

Humm, interesting. Thanks. I was so looking forward to a decent menthol flavor and so dissapointed when the product came. e-cig.com has the best menthol flavor so far followed by Jane's juice. I have read that e-cig.com juice has oil based flavorings and also read that it clogs atomizers. My wife has been using e-cig juice for two months now and has not had to clean her atomizer once. Go figure ;)

I have a couple e-cigs I keep loaded with Bickfords. I use them occasionally to let a non-smoker try an e-cig with 0 nicotine. I had them with me at the SF chapter meeting this weekend, just in case, but we never drew any attention, so noone asked. Maybe next time.

Leaford, you've been around awhile. What do you think the juice suppliers are using for flavorings?

This is what Dr Loi says on another thread about using menthol crystals -

"First of all get a 5ml eyedropper bottle and fill it up with (at least half) menthol crystals which is available commercially at the pharmacy...and then filled it up to 5ml of homemade alcohol(mine made from rice..) or some people will use ethanol(white wine)...aloow the alcohol to dissolve the menthol crystals with occassional shaking of the bottle....once it is fully dissolved if left standing will separate into 2 layers...the top clear layer will be menthol liquid and the lower will be alcohol....but can only be used if it is mixed into a murky solution...now mixed it to e-liquids of your choice (my preference is Flue-cured Tobacco and homemade Menthol at the ratio of 3:2)..."
