I have read in the past that the silver are Boge and the gold are Bauway. I am not sure if this is still true or not since it has been a while since I read that. If it is still true the gold colored threaded cartos have had a stiffer draw for me on the Grand then the silver colored thread. Don't know if that helps or not.

I had a box of bauway cartos from madvapes .... they are not even in the same league as the Boge IMO.
Its all Boge for me from here on out for cartomizers.
I have one IKV "dripping carto" (man I hate that confusing name)
They taste fine, but not worth twice the price over a Boge IMO..... even with the drip tip.
I agree about the juice color and how long the cartos last. Mine never last very long because I use dark juice most of the time.
They can be washed and reused but they are never the same as new. I use to wash all my ltv9 and 808 cartos and reuse them. I haven't done it with the 510's I have had because I ordered a couple hundred from EM and they were the hard tip.
I just got some lr 306 cartos from Avid this morning. I like em so far.
Too bad I can't fit my drip tip on it. Even my loose 510 tips are too big for the 306 carto.
I have been avoiding 6v on my grand because I didn't want to spoil myself. Well last night while we were talking cartos around here I did it . 6v (or even 5) with a standard carto could easily spoil me. I may have to get one of those 5V batteries soon.

Nyxie, the 5 volt batteries fit good in a Grand length-wise, but the diameter is smaller than an 18650. Today, I'm gonna hit up ACE or Home Depot and try to find some tubing or something that I can cut to the same length as the 5 volt batteries and use them as sleeves to make the diameter closer to an 18650 to fit better in the Grand.
Wanted to come in and give you all a big thank you! Discovered REO had a forum today and was glancing around it then read this thread. I've always enjoyed cartos on bottom juice feeders...much to everyone's laughter and asking "Why?!". I've been trying the atty routine because a carto went bad on me and killed a couple of my pv's, leaving me leary. I got my Grand out tonight, rubbed a dab of bag balm on the contact point, set it up with a joye 510 carto and can now answer that ever-consuming "Why?!".....
Because this is vaping bliss!!!
(p.s. Robert, as of now don't think I'll need to send you my Grand to have it checked out....seems all it might have needed was that bag balm to get it running smoothly.)

Congrats, but i agree with Rob that the new pin makes a very nice improvement even if you think its working fine.
They even seem to vape a bit stronger with new pin.

I know I did...Debb may have as well. I did it again the other day with a prefilled and an adapter for someone who was wondering...and I didn't like it...but I'm sure its because of the juice. It was like vaping men's cologne. Gross. And hardly any vapor. But it did work.
not me...i am just trying cartos on the reos....all i had on hand was a 901 ...with adapter..it works great so now i have to buy some cartos...lol
