I've been using the cartomizers on my ego for months. Put it on the Reo mini and it's great. Here's the problem. The last time I ordered 510 cartomizers (they have silver threads and a soft top) might assume they are Boges can't remember.....3 out of each package of 5 were horrible. I would place a few drops into one and draw and would immediately get a very burnt taste. Never made any difference if I put more liquid in or not. If they were good, they were great. I did contact the vendor I got the carts from and heard nothing back. This time I ordered the Boges (5 packages of 5)from Ivape and I'm hoping not to find duds. Do you check them all right off the bat, contact the vendor, or just take what you get???? Not happy paying for something I can't use. Thanks.

Wow I am sorry to hear you have had this problem.
I never had any carto issues, unless it was user error. I have ordered hundreds of cartos over the last 2 years. I have vaped a few empty ones on accident, that is NOT a good vape. I have noticed that they taste better if you let them sit for a while and soak the juice in before vaping them especially at higher volts.

Hey Becky! Listen to Nyxie. LOL

You have to prefill your cartos and let them soak for a bit before using them. I've used both the condom and drip methods to fill them and both work fine.

When filling my cartos, I will hold it near the mouthpiece and flick it down in the same fashion you would a glass thermometer to get all the mercury down to the bottom bulb. It works the same with a carto and forces the juice toward the bottom so you can add more drops to the top part of the filler.

Once you've filled a carto and let it soak in, (I'd give it at least 20 minutes) an occasional squonk keeps it good and wet. They last longer for me that way. Not indefinitely, but a lot longer than using it on a battery.

I've filled carts with the condom method, soaking, and topping off for my ego for months. The reason I put just a few drops in and draw to test the carto is because I've wasted 25 to 30 drops and had them taste totally burned. They truly were bad ones. On the good ones, if I put just two drops along the side and allow it to sit a while, then draw...they taste fine. I then fill them properly. Am I the only one who has ever had a bad cartomizer?

TnDave just posted in the other thread that he has had a few bad ones in a couple of days. I have had only one or two actual bad cartos. where are you getting them from?
If I was you I probably would start testing them right out of the box when I got them, before adding any juice. If you dont wait too long and complain you might be able to get a refund or a new batch. I usually order a hundred at a time from china so I am not about to sit and test all of them right away. I take my chances. So far I have been lucky.

I have 5 packages of 5 coming in. Think I'll test all 25...no big deal. Agree time is important in contacting the vendor. Don't know if I'm able to post where the cartos came from, but here it goes....Nhaler. Am trying ivape this time around.

Well good luck with the new batch.

You had it put away ??? :)

Congrats, but i agree with Rob that the new pin makes a very nice improvement even if you think its working fine.
They even seem to vape a bit stronger with new pin.

I know, Big, shame on me, right? My Grand has been acting a lil' sickie, though, and Robert had said I should send it in for him to look at but then I had other pv problems....*sigh* long story. Anyway, I'm pretty satisfied with it now but if you guys think I need a new pin, then I'll go ahead and send it in to the REO Masterologist and let him work his magic. :)

How are you "testing" them ??
Your not dry burning them are you ? They need to be good and wet before you fire them the first time.

I've probably used 200 cartomizers in the last 14 months and never had a single bad one.
I have had two or three of them that didn't produce very well, but they tasted fine.

OK so I'm trying to use a LR Boge 510 carto on my Grand. Whenever I "squeeze" more juice into it, it floods the center channel and I get gurgling and very wimpy vapor. What am I doing wrong?!?!?!

You cant squonk like an atty. I draw as I am pressing and as soon as there is resistance in the air flow .... stop.
Then it usually gurgles for the next hit and thats it.

I think I squonk about 1/5 the amount I would with an atty.

I decided to try out a Joyetech 510 carto on my mini today and really like it. I'm not flooding the atty all the time like I was. Taste is more consistent than on an atty for me.

With the Joyetech 510 carto I did not fill it first nor did I puncture the fill port. Just screwed it in and squonked it for a bit and then started vaping. When the taste changes I squonk again for a bit.

Same as I did the second my beautiful mini purple black Reo arrived :)

I love my cartos, and the Mini Reo works beautifully with them!

first cart out of the box gave up after just 2 days very light hits and it taste like im vaping filler....LOL

But did you enjoy the two days with it ?? :)

I was doing an experiment with starting one dry like other people say they do.
That one didn't last a day for me. It just started tasting like crap.
I'm going back to starting all mine filled with at least 25 drops.
