THIS!

My experience with the low resistance 306 Cisco attys has been terrible. A few months ago I bought four after reading so many rave reviews about them. Since the day I got them and even a few times since when Ive tried to revisit them, their performance has been horrid. They always taste either flooded or dry, produce piddly vapor, and make my lips too hot.

I know this thread is about cartomizers, but just wanted to get that opinion out there.

IMO they are worthless .... UNLESS you have the cannon drip tip.
I don't know the science behind it, but they make a huge difference in the performance.

Once I got the cannon I had a new found respect for them. I have four cannon DTs now and enjoy a Cisco LR 306.
I feel the 2Ω are better suited for me than the 1.5Ω though.

Why your welcome tigerlily. I still throw an atty on from time to time, but the cartos have become my main vape on the Grands. I never had flooding issues with the atomizers just inconsistent hits. When they are good they are better than cartomizers for sure, but sometimes its not so good.

For the record, the best delrin tips you can get (no seam) are from Super-T manufacturing .... the wide mouth delrin.

Second best would be from liquidXpress..... both kinda pricey but worth it.

Once again, thanks for the advice. I checked in to the drip tips you mentioned. The liquidxpress ones looked pretty short, but the Super-Ts looked like just what I need.

Read everyone's advice on here, thank you Big Hitter for starting this off. I'm just trying a Boge cartomizer now and so far love it! Great flavour and lots of vapour so thank you :)

Your very welcome. I am lucky enough to have several REOs so I switch hardware around often.
But one thing is for sure, at least one REO always has a Boge 2Ω carto on top :)

It seems I have been converted to a cartomizer user on my REO Grands.

I thought I would give my input on the subject.

Let me start by saying I went almost 4 months with a REO Grand and atomizers.
I used Cisco attys almost exclusively .... 510s and 306s in both 1.5Ω and 2.0Ω
I never felt the need to try a cartomizer on it.

Then I found the Boge 2Ω cartomizers and started using them on some other mods.
The vapor is awesome and some juices actually taste better with the cartos than attys.

So I popped one on the Grand and gave it a try....

How I use them:

I start with a filled cartomizer 20-25 drops for the Boge (I fill over time... maybe two hours)
I also fill a few at a time so they are all loaded ready to go.

I only squonk the bottle every 6-8 hits. It never really needs it, but I am trying to keep the carto fully topped off at all time.

I do the "blind squonk" method. Squeezing the bottle while drawing on the cartomizer.
As soon as I feel resistance in the air flow I let up.

By doing this every 6-8 hits the cartomizer stays full for me. I can pop off my drip tip and the top of the carto is always wet .... Never white filler showing.

Why I like it:

First and foremost is the lighter draw.
Next would be consistency. The same hit every time. Never flooded / never dry !!
Also the ease of use, its pretty much fool proof IMO.

I guess you could flood one, but it has never happened with my method.
By blind squonking the bottle my catch cup stays dry all the time... all the juice goes in the carto.
No more worrying about a few drops running down the side of the mod in my pocket.

And finally .... no more cleaning atomizers.
I have been getting 6-7 days or 24ml (4 Grand bottles) of juice out of each cartomizer.
Then pitch it in the trash and pop on a fresh filled one :)

All I have tried is the Boge 2Ω cartos at 3.7v but I suspect the 3Ω would be a good vape at 6v

The only reason I did not LOVE cartomizers was the constant re-filling needed.
The REO eliminates that hassle completely !!

If you hate cartomizers there is no need to give them a try I guess.
But if you use them on other devices and your only complaint is topping them off all the time....
Give one a try on your REO Grand or Mini and see if they work for you.

Another reason the REO is the best / most versatile mod out there !!

Old,but ditto!

i tried the 2.0 cartos, and had loss of flavor...would a lower ohm help?

I don't think there is anyway to get the same full flavor as an atty IMO.

But I get 90-95 percent as good, and the other benefits make it worth it for me.
I do find I prefer the carto more with tobacco flavors.

I have a pretty decent collection of IKV cartos including Fusion. As I was having the self feed issues with the short, semi and mini (I haven't found a solution yet), IKV 801s I find the IKV Fusion cartos to be less messy on the native 501s but I don't just stick to the cartos. Most of my juices are extra flavor so I'm not noticing too much fall off of flavor. It helps, too, to have some flavorants, to add to juices if one wants more flavor using the cartos. Sometimes TH is more important than flavor loss. It just depends on how I am feeling at the particular time.

I've have a native 801 Oak/oak Woodvil arriving any day as I do prefer the 801s. But when I order a Woodvil for DH I'm going to get a 510 native. The 801 attys are finicky with a bottom feeder.

Also, have a bunch of new IKV 510 cartos that I haven't tried yet, and 808, all the Megas. We'll see if they measure up to the Fusions. Problem with IKV cartos is that they are so great that they sell out really fast. He has recently implemented a limit on number that can be ordered so that more people can get them.

Off topic from Cartos but....... if you want to use a 510 DT on your 801 size tubes Super T has an adapter 801 tube to 510 DT. The IKV Fusions (cartos), btw, are 801 connection but 510 tube so you can use your 510 DTs on them.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto...... When I heard Cherry Vape was stopping production on the clear Cannons I bought several. There were some clouding and cracking issues. I didn't have the cracking but did get the clouding. Anyway they redesigned them, different material, and I beta tested one for two weeks straight. No cracking or clouding. I absolutely love the clear Cannons. Any clear 306 atty will look a little ugly with dark juices though.

I have some of the new Avid delrin 306 to 510 adapters that I haven't tried yet. They are pretty tall and when you put a 510 DT on them your mouth is even further away from the atty. One of the things I like about the CherryVape Pawns is that the hole is so small. Not much good for dripping but great for keeping juice out of mouth. And they feel and look wonderful.

A friend of mine just gave me a few Bloog cartos to try , they are an 808 connection , so I used my 901 adapter with my REO. Wow , I was impressed with them as far as pre-filled goes. No primer puff even on my old piddly little cig style battery. I tried vanilla , 555 and cherry. I would really like to try the blanks, but they are out of stock right now. I want to see if they are as good with my juice as the pre filled.
