Good morning Reoville.

Will someone please give me a kick in the ..... I mean a kick with a boot not the ecig Kick, please. I have been wanting an immersion blender for sometime because I want to make mayonnaise. Its just a itch I have to scratch. I make lots of egg salad, coleslaw and BLTs and I think it would be nice to make my own. Anyway I have a gift certificate to Kohls that I've had since Christmas of 2012. The problem is I just can't get moving here. I have no inertia. I am a lump of organic material fused into a lazyboy. Glamourous, eh?

Once I get moving I am OK. I fear that when I die no one will realize that I'm actually dead. I think I might come back as a slug on a cabbage leaf. I would rather be a cheetah sprinting across the serengeti. So I need some motivational speaker that lives down by the river to get my ayus (thanks bro) moving.

Well, thanks to Scot, mogium and Darrel, i just got done downloading Skype. My heart's still up in my throat..... I'm too old to be trying new tricks!

I used the Microsoft download as I don't trust most sites
Now to get a cheapie webcam...well, maybe not too cheap, I want it to work!

I made mayo with my little food processor. It was a cheap one that I got for chopping little amounts of veggies. Worked quite well.

Homemade mayo is good if you get the right oil. Don't use extra virgin olive oil! It is way to strong!

Also only make what you will use in a few days. It does not keep well.

Now get your .... up and get started on the new healthier you with homemade mayo!

Can't say you will rot away just sitting there......there are enough preservatives in your processed mayo to keep that from happening!

Laurin - You and Kay are my long lost relatives! Some days I curse whoever invented the recliner! But whenever I feel like not doing anything I talk myself into doing something for 10 minutes This is especially handy for me when it comes to tedious housework I'll dust for 10 minutes, I'll vacuum for 10 minutes, I'll polish for 10 minutes... next thing you know 10 minutes turns to 20 minutes and so on and so on I've also found this quote motivating: "Do something instead of killing time, because time is killing you - Paulo Coehlo" So go get your inner chef on Laurin!

As a matter of interest do you not have a Smart Phone Kay? Most of them have Skype and I'm sure data costs in the US must be real cheap... I often Skype my brother in New Zealand from my iPhone no problem.

Well, I went out and got the immersion blender. I'll make some mayo later cause I'm back in my lazyboy in Reoville. I also stopped at a pharmacy and went grocery shopping. I was the cheetah. I caught the gazelle.

Kay, HD video is nice but they cost more. I don't have one but they also might require good bandwidth. I'm sure someone else will chime in. MY old one I have here is 640x480 pixels I think.

hey Scoot! I managed to download Skype...no problem at all! Now I have to online shop for a reasonably priced webcam.

THEN I will start my own thread on how to operate all this fancy stuff
