The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
I know...I wish we had more time. :( If Karen had the proper ID, I'd try to risk it, but I don't think she has the enhanced license to make land & water crossings into Canada. I'm sure we'll get to meet one day. It's been a few years since we've been to Canada and even more since I've been to the island...I'm sure one day we'll be able to swing it.

Ya once renee gets citizenship it will be easier for us :).

Alright....been kinda slow for the last few days. Just getting into the grind again with work. I'll be more scarce over the next week or so. How you doin?

Doing ok. Fed up with stepson. He's a colossal waste of skin. I've about had it. Have to start hiding food as all he does is eat. It wouldn't buy me much if he worked for it but he just sleeps all day. I have no time for lazy.

Good evening REOvillians!

Well, I have some bad news. The damn cat decided to go out with the dog, so I just reacted and chased after her. And down I went. I have been fearing falling because I knew, I just KNEW it would screw me up. And so it did. I crawled to the slider off the bedroom and was able to wake up DH who got the crutches. I iced it, elevated it, put on a brace, took some painkillers and got some rest to see what it was going to do. It swelled up around the brace, so I spent the day in ER and the good news is nothing is fractured. The bad news is I am back to non-weight bearing. The poor thing is so swelled up and painful I can't put weight on it anyway. I had been doing so well, I had been going out like normal people do. Now I am on the crutches and hopefully within a week or two can graduate to the walker again. I have help coming in once a week, cancelled the Thursday dinner for at least this week, and am back to living on the couch with the leg up.

At least I know exactly what to do. I have way too much experience with this damn knee :(

And the damn cat's first adventure outside hopefully traumatized her as much as me! I asked DH how she got back inside (since I had other issues to deal with) and he said she just followed the dog right back in. DH loves the cat, but pretty much said if she gets out again to hell with her and to let her do whatever. Like I have a choice?

enhanced license???

i think adults just need a passport to do ANYTHING, but just a "passport card" to do sea/land crossings. i bought both last year, even tho the "card" was redundant, since i paid for both.

And that is why none of our other kids lived with us for too long. They didn't like the house rules. Can't say I blame them, but you know...you gotta work for what you want. I hope it gets better, my friend. :)

ya...in lieu of a passport. I don't need a passport because I don't go to other countries. The enhanced license took care of my border crossing needs as I used to go up to Canada every few months. It's $15 more than a regular drivers license.

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. The last 3 times were surgeries, so I was prepared to be down for a while. I am not prepared for this! It is going to drive me crazy not being able to do anything.

On the bright side, all you lovely people will probably see me around a lot more again :p

Silver lining for us.
