Shhhhhhh! You were never to mention that! LOL!

My surgery was back in the late 1980's. My back, or spine, is a total mess. I has been that way since I was in my early teens. I developed scoliosis. It left me with a 1 inch difference in the height of my pelvis.

Only one disc in my low back was removed and the vertebra fused. Since that time I have protruding discs above the fused. That was diagnosed in 2009. I also found out all the disc in my neck are bulging or protruding from injuries.

I can function with pain present 100% of the time. When I am off work and home I can take my prescribed pain meds.

Then I can move more, but only in the shadows!

I had a disc removed and fusion in my neck in my 20s. I'm 62 now. Seems like forever ago. Luckily, knock on my Woodvil, no other problems since. In fact that's the last time I've been in the hospital. I could smoke in the hospital back then. Ha ha

Laurin, I knew you said in two weeks but it's good to hear you have an actual date for it. I will add you to my prayers that the staff are well rested and everything goes perfectly :)

Karen, I sure hope you find something you can take at work. I found diclofenac and it helped a lot. It takes the edge off nicely for the chronic pain. Not so much for acute injury, but better than nothing when you overwork yourself a bit. You are getting prayers now too ;)

That diclofenac is an NSAID. I am very allergic to NSAIDs. Voltaren sent me to the ER with anaphylaxis. Naproxen causes swelling with just one dose. I have been told to stay away from any NSAID. Also must carry an epi-pen at all times. Well, I do most of the time!

It does not help when the most used meds for inflammation can't be taken.

My pain management Dr. found Limbrel. It is a Rx product that does help. But the cost is prohibitive.

I use acetomeniphen at work. Taking 1000 mg up to twice a day.

Hey gang! I'm at work WITHOUT A REO! Ain't that a beech tree?

I went thru my normal routine this morning getting a Reo ready to go to work with me and forgot to put it in my shirt pocket. I was halfway to work when I realized I left my baby at home.

I'll survive. But I won't enjoy it. :p

Good morning Tripp!

Sure hope you can make a little side trip home and pick up your REO! I sure would hate to be someone running into me if I couldn't vape! You without a REO is pretty scary! LOL!

Maybe just pick up a disposable if you can! Good luck sweetie!

Good afternoon Reovillians!

Val I am so sorry to hear about your knee, sending lots of healing energy your way. Enjoy the company of your help. How on earth do you manage on your own 13 hours a day? I took care of my sister after she had her ACL fixed and she could not have managed 13 hours a day by herself. {{{Val}}}

Hi Scott. :)

I love your flowers Lisa. It is sunny and beautiful here today too. :)

Dennis, I am guessing you would not be interested in pictures of my chickens, even though they don't wear socks

If for some reason I do decide to "catch up" on what I have missed......ya'll have a nice 4th of July. bahahahahahahaha I will be fine. Pretty much just the way it has always been. Like most things.......some days you can handle it more than others. I'm not sure but I think I have some Kanthal in the mailbox calling sweetly to me. Got to go take a little look-see.

Ya'll gave fun. :)

I don't have a choice? It just has always been this way, even from my first surgery. I just have to plan ahead and conserve my efforts. This wasn't planned, so I have to get some help in today to get set up. I will have a shopping list made up for DH to go to his favorite store, get everything moved within reach, and hopefully just have to get up to use the restroom and maybe grab something premade to eat. I already have a crockpot recipe ready to go when Nina gets here, she just has to chop and most importantly get the crockpot out! Tomorrow I will have another friend do the pet store, the damn cat is almost out of food because I was planning on going today

Karen, I am so sorry I forgot about your NSAID allergy! I feel like such an idiot, please excuse my lapse. I know we have had that conversation before and the minute you replied I felt the deja vu. I am so excited about your upcoming trip!

Sashwa, congrats on the new VV! And so good to see you posting more

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day :)

Not a problem Val. I am use to people forgetting my allergy. I know you fully recognize that people that don't have them often forget the many of us that do.

I am so excited about my trip. Planning my off days for getting everything done in advance. It will be tough to come to work that week and leave only hours after getting home! Might have a little time to sleep before my ride to the airport. But doubt that my mind will let me!
