doin ok, Fleet. here's hoping you'll get better soon.

my daughter has a prom this weekend and won't be visiting. so i have to re-plan my weekend activities...

who do i think i'm kidding? i'll be hanging out here :)

Ah, do something fun if you can. I plan on it since my boy will be gone. Hopefully I'll be feeling better and can get back into my guitar study. I'll usually spend 2 hours at least 2 hours a day on it but just haven't had the energy....

Edit: playing with strikeout of text. Never knew how to do it until Tim asked and I had to figure it out to give him a way to do it. :)

Howdy Fleet, Darrel!

suprised Scott's not here. haven't seen him post in a while. i'm guessing either his ubuntu crashed again or he's out at a strip bar :)

You mean Sterno/Scott? Seems he's been posting early in the morning if my foggy memory is correct. Either way, fixing Linux or strip bars isn't a bad way to spend your time :) (I've only been to strip bars on less than 10 occasions in my life, mostly because I was riding with a group. They have a strip bar run every year in Tampa, at night, and I did that one time just for the hell of it :) The other times were because I was riding with a group and we all got in for free. We knew a lot of people. I never paid a cover charge at any bar with music or anywhere else for that matter...... Being a biker had its perks :) Never joined a club (and these were the kind the FBI had a dossier on every member) though I was asked to. I'm too much of an individualist to go with a group mindset though I was welcome at all the club houses.

The mother of my son was notoriously late for everything. I explained to that we were leaving the next day at 10:00am by saying "Kickstands up at 10:00am" Told her what that meant. Wasn't optional. She'd never make a good club female associate of a member :)

Edit: this was all meant in good fun. But true nonetheless. One club I rode with the females wore patches on the back saying they belonged to whoever they were associated with. A bit too much for me.

More biker stories: I was at a bar one night and one of the two competing clubs in town was at the bar (which is a rarity. You can't normally have more than one club in a territory.) The president of the club, who I knew but that was the extent of it, left without saying goodbye and I was rather offended. So I said some choice words to him including the F U words. We went out and talked and he told me he was coming into my house one night to slit my throat. I said bring it on. He eventually capitulated and offered me the chance to probate (first step to joining, kind of like hazing in fraternities,) and said he would sponsor me.

Why do I say all this? One, to kind of give y'all the lowdown on how I'm everything and nothing like my avatar (major in college was mathematics...) Second, I was bullied as a child and once I grew up I decided no more. I don't take anything from anybody. But if things go south I'll walk away. Takes a stronger man for that kind of discipline than most.

So now, y'all know a little bit more about me. I'll quote Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings (who I don't believe wrote the song but drove it to number 1 on some charts. "Them that don't know him won't like him and them that do, Sometimes won't know how to take him."

Well, that's my life!

Hey Fleet. I'm always bored. It is a hobby of mine.

Hi Torey Pink Toes!!!!!!! Glad to see you here. I've got a second wind and feel a bit better. More like my unusual self :)

I was smart this night, went to bed without any meds, knowing I'd wake up in the middle of the night. Figured that was when I'd take my meds so I wasn't running any risks. Worked so far but I'm not asleep :) I hate being sick, and I don't get sick very often.

Anyway, truly glad to hear from you!

Does anyone mind my sharing of my life? I like you all and would rather that you know me better, no holds barred. But I'm being to personal I'll drop it.

Next on my list is what it's like to have ECT (Shock therapy for depression and what not) Some might like to know, and there are some funny parts as well as serious issues.

I don't want my welcome here revoked and I appreciate how others feel. That's why I ask....

So far, so good, but I'd never want to offend anybody. I think I'm going to do an autobiography sometime here in the near future. I've so many stories to tell and while some may not resonate with some they certainly will with others. Do let me know if I'm violating any ECF rules. The only drugs I've talked about are those that are prescribed to me for my condition. And I bet a lot of folks have been there/done that but don't want to talk about it. Might just like to know they're not alone....

If I get 5 likes on this post I'll continue.... Otherwise, PM me if you want details.

Like, Like, Like, Like.............

With me.........what you see is what you get. I'm always telling stories about me and what I do. How else can you get to know someone that you don't know? I love hearing your stories. If people like mind, they can read em'. If they don't........I think everyone here knows how to scroll on down.

Torey, you got it!

As far as auto refresh goes, and this is just my opinion, the thread gets updated automatically with new replies so you don't have to refresh your browser to see new posts. I'm hoping it works this way~

Well evidently my auto refresh is disfunctional. I still have to do it manually.

Is there a setting I need to adjust?
