Good morning reoville!

I really need to greet everyone before i start reading and posting...but then i've always been .....backwards....

My Coco doggie's coming over in a little while for a couple of days as it's gonna be extremely hot and my GD's apartment is over a garage with no air. last year i got her a couple of window units but with no insulation they don't work so well.

Good excuse, huh!

Everyone have a great day!

Good afternoon ReoNauts!!!!
Been a busy Morning!
Had to go to post office to pick up my MVP 2.0 and clearomizers.
I have something to use unti Rob gets to the post office to send my RM 2.0 out. (No pressure, No pressure). (well, maybe a little, <JK>)
It is a good day, been vaping like a wild man. One step closer to getting off the cancer sticks again.

Man, I drift away and stop looking at the REO thread for a while, and come back to an RM3, RM4, AND RM5! Someone's been busy, lol. Luckily, I have a REO Grand Standard, not Low Profile, so I just picked myself up an RM3 Dual Set-Up. I can't wait for it to arrive, I'm looking forward to trying it out! :)

Good day fellow Reo-Lords!

Had some time between mid-terms so thought I'd come say ello! I've been taking notes and studying non-stop for like three days and I can't wait for this to be done with. My head is so full of music theory, world music, digital audio workstations and mic techniques it's gonna explode. At least when it explodes it will be in proper 4/4 time at 140bpm. I'm also guessing it will probably be pentatonic... or perhaps Aeolian. Lemme know how it sounds? :p

Hope you are all rockin hard and all your cute cats are right there with ya!

My new RM3 is killer. Now that I bored the holes out this thing kicks! I'm kinda tempting fate though running at .3ohms without the S/O contacts... so far it works just fine and I haven't had any problems. I'm sure there's a badass voltage drop in there somewhere, but I don't have a drop meter yet to tell. The grand repair kits the next hing on my list! Maybe I'll just send the grand in to get converted to LP and have Rob just do both things in one. Of course then there is the problem of not having my Reo for as long as it takes to mail out and come back... idk if I'm strong enough for that! The spirit is willing but the body is soft and squishy. :p

Doctors appt. coming up soon after years of not even going to one. The herniated disc in my lower back has gotten so bad that I sucked it up and finally applied for insurance. Hopefully I can convince them this time to operate on it. I see commercials all the time and hear people say that disc work now days is like 2 hours in and out. Even faster if they use the lasers they now apparently have for the procedure. 3 years ago when I did try and get something done all they ever did was give me painkillers (which don't work and I don't like being drugged up anyway) and finally gave me an epidural shot of steroids in my spine which worked awesome for 3 months until my insurance ran out and I was screwed. So I've got every finger I have crossed twice.

Hang in there people! Keep your heads in the clouds!!!!!!

With assistance and patience from Rob I should have all of the supplies I need to get my new toys up and running soon. Wanted to get a brass RM2 for the Wood Mini....ordered extra springs, screws, magnets so should be in good shape for awhile. I'll get a picture posted once I have everything together.

Good Evening REOVille. Set the alarm for 9:00 (pm) but woke up at 6:30 and can't go back to sleep. I guess it's time to go to work then... Iowa Gal, Always Trust Rob. He will say "Once I've sold it, it's yours", then turn right around and do everything he can to ensure you truly enjoy your REOS products. And he really does listen to his customers. There are a few (maybe more) Corporations that could take customer service lessons from Rob.
Well, coffee for the night's work is brewing. Time to clean up, pack it up, and go spend a couple days/ nights making the Mortgage Payment. Take Care Everyone.

I didn't want to send my grand off either, so i made it LP myself by stuffing it into a belt sander!

0.3Ω coils is going to mean i see a lot of Noalox and filing in your near future. A rebuild kit and a couple of spare springs is a good failsafe to have in a drawer anyway. Even the best of us can accidentally foul-up a coil build and collapse a spring.

Yeah I collapsed the spring in the Mini..but know why and it won't happen again..just have to be patient until the new one arrives. It wasn't my build...but a non-stock screw and metal drip tip that met...it's nice to know the spring works when a short happens. Old trusty Mini 2.1 that I got from Papaw hasn't left my hand since it arrived:laugh:

Human ingenuity and bad luck means i have probably heard about hundreds of different ways to ruin springs. My favourite was a small piece of foil from a chewing gum wrapper getting into an atty from a handbag or something!

I consider spare springs to be just part of the 'backups for backups' mentality that was drilled into me when i started vaping. I have never needed to use one, but it's peace of mind.

supertrunker I agree....I'm going to be like a little girl scout and have what I need, but once I'm up and running probably won't use them:laugh: It is wonderful that all the little accessories are readily available on the website and I figured since I'm paying shipping might as well stock up and the costs are minimal. I also got button covers for what will be my three minis...I like the looks of them. The RM2 has been so easy for me to setup and use don't have any interest in the other attys at this point.

HRH (my wife a.k.a. Smurf) only uses RM2s and only minis. I stopped using the button covers because i'd just press harder and harder, rather than clean the Reo and i was mashing the firing pins.

That was with the old contacts - i have not used one with the new gold-plated gear they all have. WE (apparently what's mine is hers and what's hers is her own) have about 13 RM2s and if you run a single coil, nothing beats it.
