Good afternoon, everyone :)
Just got back from the house a little while ago, then ran a truck load of stuff to goodwill. Will take several truck loads of stuff to recomp tomorrow. It's hot.

There's been a little progress....and today I had to walk around and do the "punch list" so the builder can get these things squared away. Here are a couple of photos... Most of the photos previously have been taken in the afternoon and/or evening. These are from this morning....check out that morning light...

even the master suite is glowing...

Lisa, your new house looks huge and I see trees in the windows. You must be getting out in the country too.

Hahaha...it may look huge, but our side of it is only 1650 sf. So it's pretty cozy. My father in law's side is 650 sf. And yes, you're correct...we are smack in the middle of 5 acres of forest. Precisely the way I like it...can't see my neighbors and can't hear I-5. There is some residual noise....dogs, birds, the trains down below, but for the most part...it's just perfect. Tired of living in the burbs (it was pointed out to me today by one of our neighbors here in Bellingham that we do not, in fact, live "in the city"....she was born & raised in NYC ) It's noisy and the neighborhood is changing and I'm ready to be more reclusive.

ETA: we're moving to Bow.

I know exactly what you mean. You're smart to build right smack in the middle of all that land. :)

Where the heck is Bow?

Doing good...stressed, but good....besides, when am I not? Building a house and we're about 30 days from moving....so the pressure is on.
Glad to hear you're heading back to the sun...I'm sure it will do you good to get back to familiar spaces. Keep us posted from time to time...we worry. ;)
Haha well you always have a lot going on, and that's not a bad thing! Life would probably drive you nuts if it was slow all the time. Your house does look big even for that amount of sq footage. I'm sure it will be beauteous and I hope to see after pictures! I will def make more of an effort to check in! The longer I stayed away, the more worried I was about checking in again lol

There was never any doubt that you were a California girl.:)
LOL guilty and caught red handed!!

Hey Keekers. It's good to see you again. It's been a long time. I'm still here but don't post here much because I'm Reoless and don't feel I belong here anymore but it's sure good to see you posting again. California sounds great. Good for you. I'm moving to rural Indiana to get away from people and noise. Not looking forward to their winters though. I hope you are working and happy. :)
I can understand that...I'm REOless too but from people's replies, they just want to hear that you're healthy and happy! Congrats on the move and best of luck to you for the winters ahead lol

Kristin?

We do miss you here but I know your hangouts. Always good to hear from you and you don't need a REO to show off those beautiful Drip Tips you got. ;)

Just around the corner where Chuckanut drops down into the flatlands. Padilla Bay...is just west of us and west of that is Anacortes.

Never heard of any of those places except Anacortes. I'll google it. :p

Edit? Oh, ok. You're farther sound of Bellingham now. Looks like a dinky town. Perfect.

Good Evening REOVille. Lots of regulars stopping in today, I feel like a newcomer again. :?:
An entire weekend off, feels good. Rain on and off all weekend, my neglected lawn is already over ankle deep. But after some serious staying busy for four months a little down time doesn't hurt. Slept all night and most of the day. Watched Homeland with Jason Stratham (?) with Mamaw and my VV Grand. Most energetic thing I've dome all day. Even put my pants on while I was in the Living Room
Sometimes an Old Trucker just needs to seriously set the Air Brakes....

I have loafed about all day too Brett. The last few weeks at work kicked my .... and when HRH said we can do the shopping tomorrow, that got my vote!

T

Four months of back to back overnight runs (sometimes three in a row) and I just gave out Thursday morning.
Woke up in Rocky Fork TN at 3am with a load of steel to deliver 7am in Westminster SC that morning. Got up, went inside to splash some water on my face and got back into the Truck. Sitting in the Drivers Chair I wondered 'Am I really ready to drive this Rig ?' and the answer was no. I got back into the sleeper berth and just slept until 7:30 am that morning, and nobody complained. But I have heard my company is finally caught up on all of our back orders, so maybe the busy season is slowing to an end. Two days off this weekend, and a drizzly grey weekend at that. Yea, I'm gonna catch up on some long overdue rest time.
