I'm doing just ok. But ok is better than how I've been feeling so that's a good thing. Kind of hard to get over it when someone takes your child. Thanks for asking.

And if you didn't notice, when someone asks how I'm doing I'm pretty honest about it :)

I know you are, and I appreciate honesty. I know some of what's been up with you, so if you came back with the standard "I'm fine", I'd say, "are you really?". Doing "just ok" is about all we could expect right at this time with you. We just hoping that everything works out in your favor eventually to where you really can say, "I'm fine!".

Thanks for the kind thoughts and understanding. It mean a lot to me. And all things change. This too will change. Hopefully sooner rather than later but some things are beyond my control at this point. Now is when my Buddhist philosophies kick in high gear.

And I got a Terry Pratchett book to read so that takes my mind off things. He's quite witty, funny, and does very well with satire. The Discworld series, I think there are 48 books in that, is set in a fantasy universe. That's just the underpinning to tell his stories. The real meat and potatoes has much more to do with his writing. It's all in how and what he writes. Good stuff!

I'll have to check into him. I wonder if Amazon has it in a kindle edition. I'll look and might try one of them.

Just checked, they do. All of them.

I believe some are available in Kindle. A good one to read is "interesting Times". Very funny :) Google play is another option if you haven an android tablet. That's what I'm reading the current book on. Sir Terry was knighted for his contributions to literature and has been ranked up there with the greats. Truly amazing writing.

Unfortunately, he now has Alzheimers. I feel so bad for him, it's a terrible way to spend the rest of your years.

Edit: regardless of what you get, it will be good. Do a search for Discworld and it'll list all the books in that series. If you can't find "Interesting Times" pick another. You won't go wrong.

I do have an android tablet with the kindle app. I found all the discworld books listed. I'm always looking for good stuff to read. I'll have to put him on my to read list.

If you can't find it on Amazon, try Google Play. Their prices seem to be cheaper as well.

Good morning, everyone! :)

Also, for some goofy light hearted reading, may I suggest 'Good Omens' by Neil Gaiman....it is a story about an angel and a demon who have to work together to bring about Armageddon. Not for those who are easily offended by religious topics.

I'll look into that, too! I have very eclectic tastes in reading.

Ya'll are making me want to read a book again. I use to love reading but that was before I joined ecf and started vaping. Now I've been possessed.

LOL! I hear ya, Torey! I have to admit I've done far more reading on these forums than I have in books lately. I'm trying to get back to it again. I love reading and it helps me keep my brain from freezing up!
