My wife works for the American Red Cross taking blood donations. They called off her blood drive today but said they were on for tomorrow for sure. I'm not sure I can even get her out of the subdivision, let alone to work. Once there, she has to dig out a van and haul her crew to a blood drive. Looks like fun for me in the morning!

It seems this storm exceeded expectations at least in this neck of the woods. Hope it falls off a bit before it gets out east.

Hopefully they will cancel it tomorrow and give folks a chance to dig out.

Sounds like they need to cancel tomorrow too. Hopefully they see what a mess it is in the morning and call it off.

It seems they lack that kind of common sense! They tried to send one crew to Canton MO today. Got as far as Palmyra before they got the OK to call it off!

ETA: Their scheduling is done by office jockeys in St. Louis.

Thanks for the birthday wishes all~ I had a quiet birthday. We had ice coming down a good part of the day Saturday, so other than a quick trip to the grocery store I didn't go anywhere. I did get calls from my kids and my ex to wish me happy birthday so it's all good. Sunday I visited mom and then headed north to meet with my BFF and did her taxes and we went out for a nice birthday lunch. Her birthday is the 13th, so we kind of celebrate together. It's been snowing here all day, schools were closed and it looks like they will be closed again tomorrow. Good thing the crews got rid of the ice before it started.
Hope all are doing well!
