Good morning REOvillians!

Looks like everyone is having a wonderful day! It is still getting too cold at night to put out the garden, the desert likes hot, hot summers and cold nights in spring. I will be lugging the tomatoes back out for the day until the nights get above 40's just to be certain

I have some friends coming over for dinner "to keep me company" which really means I am cooking dinner and sharing my cable. I would gladly have them over every night since they are having hard times affording either. I made an asian sauce for the ribs I planned on making for myself today which they tried on the regular Thursday dinner night (I made it early so it could blend well). I had only bought enough ribs for moi, but after tasting the sauce they were emphatic that they should come over so I wasn't lonely without DH. Then a few other friends wanted to join the party, so I ended up at the grocery store this morning buying a lot more ribs and making a lot more sauce! So much for it having a few days to blend well. DH should go out of town more often, I would see my friends more

I hope everyone's day works out as well as mine is turning out to be :)

Hello guys,

Just wanted to share my joy with you guys. I am getting a new Reo VV!!!! I started in 2012 with a mini reo, than shortly after a grand and my latest achievement has been the woodvil.

Been out of the game for a while now and just got back a week ago or so.

Hope you guys don't mind me asking a quick question.

Will a custom hh.357 work well with a reo? Never thought about it until I ordered 3 of them.

Also, I am a newb when it comes to rebuildables but am very interested in the rm2 as it looks dummy proof perfect for this stupid guy here.

Only question is this. Does it matter which wire and wick I use? any recommendations on both? I rather spend a bit more but know I have quality products than buying cheap stuff.

I saw that wire comes in different thickness? does it matter which one I get?

Thank you all and I cannot wait to show off my bad boy once it's in my hands.

Thank you!! lol

On a vv you will need to keep your coils over 1.2Ω, so unless you have a particular wish to make coils from very thick wire go with something like 30g kanthal.

The vv lets you turn up the power until you like it, so it's a good choice if you cannot robotically replicate coils. The wick is up to you, the basics are silica can be dry burned, and cotton cannot and has to be wet at all times - you burn a cotton wick - you have to put a new one in.

You could also use bamboo or an endless list really. You can use them all on a RM2 - it's a very versatile and user-friendly little atty.

Welcome back, want to quit :) It's been a while.
As far as I know, as long as the 357 is still a 510 connection, it should work just fine. Though I never had a custom one, so i don't know for sure.

Rebuildables are fairly easy...some more so than others. For a beginner, many like the RM2. Wick and wire choices are usually based on personal taste. So you'll probably want to try a variety. I suppose I would recommend 28 and 30 gauge kanthal, some clean cotton, silica, or even bamboo for wick....lots of people prefer cotton. Lots of people will have different answers. Currently I'm using 28 ga wire and silica.

This here is a good post with great links to threads about rebuilding. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/446819-reos-mods-helpful-links-get-you-started.html
