Welcome, Uno MasIs that a cocobolo woodvil you have....or maybe rosewood?
Good Morning Reoville. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I will be watching the NASCAR race this afternoon munching on home made buffalo wings and vaping on a Reo.... Life is good, very good.
Hi friends new and old.
I'm back online down here in the bayou state right off the missisip, accomodations are tight but comfortable.
I haven't lived in a trailer since I was 12. But they have improved quite a bit, I must say.
new career, new location, away from friends and my wife and kids....I sure miss them a bunch.
I just started last wednesday in the survey field as a rodman. Been doing lots of homework, it's all good with tons of new stuff to learn.
I'll check back in tomorrow night....got to get up at 5am![]()

Hi glowplug and welcome. Someone more knowledgeable will be along soon, but i'll tell you that I had a coppervein...and they're stunning...but the patina does start to wear off, tho someone here mentioned a varnish of some sort to fix that issue. The pics of the Reo mods really don't do them justice.I also had a black wrinkle...they do look different from each other. If I ever got a metal mod again it'd be the copper vein, but I've become totally in love with the wood mods
My hands never smell of metal when I had them.Oh, and you're definately in the right place!
( the nightowls will be along shortly...they only come outa hiding after midnight)

Thanks! I think I would just love a Woodville and/or a Dibi, but that will have to come later if at all...I don't know if I will ever be able to afford one for myself. I have some very great friends over at the Nicoticket Family.
Good night Katie! Sleep well.
Good evening and Happy Monday Eve. I am soon to be a new REO owner. Yep! I am being given the gift of a REO and RM2 for my one year smober date. I am excited, I am overwhelmed with the kindness of friends and I cannot make a decision to save my soul. Please help?
So far I have decided on the LP Grand with a LP RM2. I want a mech, not a VV. I love the metallic purple but it appears that it is not an option in the LP. My second choice is the Copper Vein. I have a question: Does the copper 'tarnish' or whatever the right word may be? I read somewhere that it got a patina and looked like it was a solid black. Is this true? I would suppose it would just take a bit of a polish to make it all better, right? Oh yeah, I can't tell the difference between the Black Wrinkle with Copper Vein and the Copper Vein. They look the same in the pictures. Are they really very different?
Also, does the metal make your hands smell like metal or copper? I have a stupid weird thing about the smell of metal. My ss mod has no residual smell. So many things to think about, right?
Thanks in advance for any help. If this is in the wrong place, please let me know, I will move it!
Welcome, glowplug!
the texture on the wrinkle is like a fine grit wet sandpaper. Supper tiny wrinkles. the veins are more like a heavy grit sand paper with a thick coat of polish over it. think along the lines of #2 pencil lead dimpling clay then covered in a thick glaze. the wrinkle is not shiny, but the veins are kind of shiny.
I havent noticed any issues with a metallic smell though...perhaps because I'm not looking for it. I would be willing to bet if any of these was going to have an odor it would be the tumbled raw aluminum.
If there is a combo you're after you may want to PM redeyedancer to see if its something that may be available.
I saw this on facebook and thought I'd share....for those of you who have lost furry family members. https://theanimalrescuesite.greater...CE_AMC_ECOMM_ITEM_0_PAWCOLLARING_49900_040614
