Hello Glowplug. Just a few observations, from one trucker to another;
I have Two Mechs (Grand and Mini 2.1), Two VV Grand and Three Woods. Only the Mechanicals go out on the road with me. I would recommend the Grand, as the battery life and onboard bottle are last longer.
Dripping while driving is what brought me to REOS mods in Aug '12. I do not own any other vaping equipment now.
Copper Vein is beautiful... until the natural oils in your hand turn it a dull. dark brown. Trunker posted that he covered his with polyurethane to keep that from happening. I personally have been on a Black Wrinkle buying mode last couple of metal mods. Holds up well on the road.

I only did that because i read that nobody had ever successfully restored a copper vein to its original finish, so pre-emptive action. Totally agree about a grand as the all day vape though.

I was bad today and ordered another tumbled clearcoated vvgrand. I have a friend who wants one but can't afford a new one. I told them if I could get another one like it, I would sell my "old" one to them once I have the new one.

i see...i can't afford one either, what with sub-ohm kits and buttons made from brass and LP this and that.
I'll not be greedy - i have a vv too and though i don't use it often i like to look at it and fondle it. I guess that's what middle age is all about huh?

I've been eyein' the copper vein as well, really looks stunnin', thinkin' maybe the door would be a good option as a highlight color...

With my hands, the regular Reo doesn't work well for me. I found that out with my first Reo. It's the top button that does me in. I also don't do rebuildables because of my eyesite and hands. I stick with the shorty cartos.
I haven't held/used a standard Reo so I guess my first will be a leap of faith that the top button won't be a hiccup for me

My grand is so beaten to death that i had to look it up and see if it was one with the rounded corners - cos it sure is now.

Some will use the button covers, but i find them troublesome and i tend to mash the button/firing pin with them, rather than clean the Reo. Basically, press harder if it's not working!
Depends how big your hands are - i have a rather lazy grip on mine with the button away from me and i fire it by just laying my index finger over it and squeezing. So - it's not a precise science and you'll have to see what feels comfortable for you.

Uno, I have the onset of arthritis in my hands which is why I had/have problems with my hands using a mechanical Reo (it was also way before the button covers were around). I know others that have arthritis in their hands and had no problems using one but it did bother my hands.
Did you ever try one with that plunger arrangement?
I only ask because i have an old Grip with that and i have to say it's the biggest PITA, especially on a half full/empty bottle i ever found. To squonk requires...well i'm thinking the easiest way is to just sit on the damn thing.

There's a copper wrinkle vv grand listed on the site as buy now, Uno. At least there was earlier today when I was looking.
It's a rule of sorts that you post pics of it when it arrives - i think Kay insists, but then you probably already met her!

I've really overspent this past month or so and she's been pretty calm about it but it's gettin' close to trip time and I don't think she'd be pleased with another large purchase but it's sure purdy...- Status
