HAHAHA! My 14 year old would totally still crawl into my chair and cuddle me if I let her. Oof...too heavy  Actually, she clearly remembers being Wayne's cuddle buddy in the recliner and couch. And she would love nothing more than to cuddle with him like she used to...but she knows she's too big for that now. Some days it makes her sad. So we're working on being more huggy these days...so she doesn't feel like she's unloved. Silly teens.
As they get older you have to adapt the cuddling. We have a TV in our master bedroom, stack a bunch of pillows against the headboard and have a family movie night, all snuggled up in the bed. Me or my wife has to lie between the boys or an argument is inevitable. Just have to be a bit subtle, and they don't even know we're snuggling:)

Actually I believe they know, but would never admit it.

 Yikes....our "someday to be" son in law just about got tossed out of our house on his head. Dude just flipped out about football...an irrational rant that turned hostile, complete with yelling at my husband. I'm really glad we have mellowed out in our old age. Still in shock. going to have to have a talk with our daughter about that. that's the father of our grandson...and I'm tellin ya. That. was. not. normal. :glare:

Sounds like some underlying anger issues. Best to discover them now and maybe help him get a handle on it. I had to deal with those earlier in life and overcame(redirected) it with martial arts, exercise and knowledge mostly. Only comes out now in defense of a helpless gal, child or animal. :)

I know, riiight? I even asked Wayne "are we familiar enough with that guy for that kind of bad form???" I mean, we've known him a couple of years, but we see them like 4 or 5 times a year. I get that familiarity breeds contempt, but I'm not even willing to admit that we've even gotten to the familiar part. Besides, i certainly wouldn't behave that way at his house, and I'm 15 years older than he is.

Or maybe repetition breeds familiarity. Like you're only now seeing the "real" him Lisa. Maybe when you talk to you're daughter, you can gently ply her for info. He may be a closet batterer. I really dislike those types. We have one here that I nearly went through the door when I heard a lengthy bloodcurdling scream from an 8 year old boy. It didnt repeat that night and when I asked him (the boy. Its a single father and his son) about it the next day, he said it was on the TV? I put child welfare on him and I know they interviewed him, but not being family, I wasn't made privy to the results.

See?

I've seen these before, Lisa, but love seeing them again! I especially like the bottom one where Wayne has a Kitty under one arm and a Kid under the other. Way too cute!

I'm heading out for the afternoon. No bike riding today. Taking a friend to a doctor's appt, then off to my storage area to switch out some gear. Wish it wasnt 40 minutes away but couldn't find anything closer available.

Lisa, I hope I wasn't overstepping a boundary. Sometimes my fondness for someone comes out in their defense. Hate that you got put in that position. Good luck hun!

Jif, I really want to try that stuff when I get some buxx.

Have a sparkling day loved ones! And pooof...

Nah...if you had seen/heard the situation and then our debriefing so-to-speak after they left, you would realize you didn't even get close to the boundaries. We're still baffled. Have a great day, Ed

I would like to tell my reo friends my top newb moment of the night from yesterday.

At around 11pm I decided to build a new coil just for the fun of it. Since my first coil was at 1.8ohm I wanted this one around 2.2ohm with some nice Velvet cloud vapor 100% VG.

At 11:20pm after setting up my supplies I was done with my first coil. All looked peaches at 2.1ohm I was happy. Put it on my reo and for some reason it was extremly bad in regard to performance. I mean it was bad!!

I was like "alright lets do another since this one was apparently a crappy coil.

By now it is past midnight and by 12:40am I completed my second coil PERFECT!! 2.2ohm and the thing looked like a superstar. Put it on my reo and nothing!!!! I was about to freak out. Threw that thing in the trash and did another one. By now it is 2:15am and I reached my breaking point. Freaking coil didnt work either and I was about to go on a rampage.

This stupid dumb newb did not know that all coils were perfect the only issue was the batteries were empty.

^___________^

So this morning with a fully charged battery I am finally enjoying my maple VCV with a 2.2ohm beauty at I assume 5.3v and its awesome!!

morning Sterno!

So I read that silica is dangerous yesterday and was wondering if you guys recommend cotton instead of silica?

all I use is cotton, I think it to have more flavor and wicks well for me, no cotton taste just vapor goodness imo. for the record I use cvs rolled cotton but i know people (SxD) that uses koh gen do and has amazing success with it.

IMO it's personal preference. The dangers as far as any wick are concerned are inhaling burning wicks. From what I have read any particles that may come off of silica are not anywhere near small enough to imbed into lung tissue and do any damage.

I'm sure others will add what they know.

So, how much trouble was it rummaging through the trash to retrieve those perfect coils you'd trashed?
