I sadly throw them in my trash so it's like searching for a needle in a hay stack. Really upset me as the first one was the most beautiful looking coil I ever saw. Worst part about it is I am out of kanthal lol
Here's what's weird...er..
Guy is in his mid 20's. Can't keep a job because he keeps getting sick. Has a healthy hate on for what he calls "rich people." Though to be honest, he's never defined "rich." Compared to him, we're rich, but by no means are we wealthy, not even close. Likes to go "against the grain" in all things...but he was upset because "no one is taking care of these guys." These guys? These guys get paid millions of dollars...these guys are big boys and know what they are getting into when they sign a contract to play football in the NFL. He was acting like these poor NFL players have no one looking out for them and their health issues. In fact he stated "No one is looking out for them!" Honestly...stunned silence ensued right after his last comment. HE DOESN'T EVEN WATCH FOOTBALL!!! OMG...I'm still ...... about this. Can you tell?
What nearly made Wayne lose his mind is this kid is all worked up about these rich NFL players (which by his own admission he should hate because they're rich) but doesn't give a crap about all those vets who come home with some serious damage and have to fight for every bit of help they can get...if they get any.

Hahaha....that's awesome! But it still doesn't top me showing off my new Reo at my friends house...dismantling it and showing how it works. Put it back together and ...nothing. 
what the hell... started to panic...try again...nothing...try again...nothing. Hands mod to Wayne and say "FIX IT." Turns out I didn't screw the atty all the way back on. Seriously. 
I've seen it with my own kids. They're (2-5 yrs) are trying to be better than the other. Maybe it's just a human birth trait that we pick on the weak. But that's not what the issue is. Always jealous is another problemon . That's it, maybe. We all show signs of the 7 deadly sins.
I'm busy stalking my mailbox for the wife's Reo. We have to pick my load up at 8pm and drive all night and won't be back for 2 weeks. If it doesn't show up its gonna be a long run hearing her ..... about her Reo sitting at the post office. I never should have let her try mine. Lol.

I dunno, maybe. I use silica...but the way i see it, the only time I found bits to come off the silica wick is if it is new and completely dry. One I add juice to it, the juice binds the fibers and nothing comes apart, not even when I dry burn it. So i'm comfortable with using it.
I mean sure there are those under privileged (hope thats the right word) kids that make it to the NFL and they never seen that much money and no one helps them with the financial side of things. In regards to medical stuff I am certain these guys enjoy the best of the best the world can offer since its in the best interest for each team to have healthy players.
Only reason so many athletes go broke after retirement is bad financial understanding and living above your means. Hard to understand but my German "buddy" (I wish) Michael Schumacher once said even with the 100 million Euros he made each year he doesnt feel rich.
When the reporter asked why he replied that it's all the same just on a different level. If my house costs $400k his house cost $25million. If my car costs $30k his cars cost $100k a piece.
If my utilities cost $400 his cost $10k.
One way or another I hope your daughter will be happy with him and that he survives before your husband gets out the gun lol.

lol ya thats a good one. If you know your battery is charged and everything should work and it doesnt I would freak out. Good to know that even Lisa has still newb moments. Makes me feel way better now
two quick questions
Silica: Do you have to burn it before use? I have not that done so far and just used it straight away. I figured it would just burn like a candle so I didnt even think of that.
Cotton: If I try cotton do I really have to boil that stuff? My better half (mostly) would look at me like an idiot if I actually have a huge pot out that boils cotton.

I can't answer the cotton question, because I am one of the weird ones that thinks cotton has a taste. (I used the organic from CVS so no boiling required.)
As for silica, I have never burned mine before use either. I've taken a lighter to the kanthal and I dry burn the silica a little to see if the coils are lighting uniformly, but that's as far as I go. Not had a problem so far.
I use CVS sterile rolled cotton or organic cotton balls so I don't boil anything. Super easy to wick and I don't taste any flavor from the cotton. YMMV
W.T.Q..I have tons of CVS sterile cotton that I'll never use in my lifetime. This cotton doesn't have to be boiled first. I'd like to send you some, just PM me your name and address.
And are you the one that's out of 28 g. wire? If so, i have some I'll send you.
Ooops! No 28 g. wire, but I do have LOTS of 30g. and a small spool of 32g., if anyone wants it.
For anyone that reads this....I also have a ton of 30 g. kanthal wire (app. 400 ft., give or take a few feet)

i agree i think it has a taste to dont know what kind it was but i didnt like it ecowool has no weird taste
for a natural alternative to cotton is hemp i did hemp for a while its very absorbent and has good flavor
